Michael has been trying to call Nathaniel ever since the security called to inform him that Natasha was at the gate, he had given the security the go ahead to allow her in hoping he could get to Nathaniel so to tell him not to come home but Nathaniel number was switched off, Nathaniel had left for lecture that morning and haven’t come back yet and he pray he shouldn’t not until Natasha has gone, he didn’t go to lecture that day because he had no class for that day, he was in the sitting room tossing around still dialing Nathaniel number when he heard the door bell rang, he knew then that it was Natasha.

Natasha waits patiently for the door to open, she wasn’t sure how she could react to see Nathaniel standing at the door when the door finally opens but she was disappointed to see Michael..

MICHAEL
(Putting up a smile)

Wow I was so surprise to hear you were here, I never expected it.

Natasha and Phillip returned the smile

NATASHA
Good evening

MICHAEL
Good evening, please come in.
He gives way for them.

PHILLIP
What’s up

MICHAEL
cool

Natasha was impress when she got to the sitting room, it was simply but nice, everything was arranged accordingly in their places.

MICHAEL
Please do sit down

They both appreciate him and sit down.

MICHAEL
So what can I offer you both

PHILLIP
For me am cool don’t know about her.

NATASHA
Me too, am good, this is Phillip my fiance

MICHAEL
Nice meeting you, am Michael, Nath flat mate and best friend.

They both exchange pleasantries.

NATASHA
Please where is Nath

MICHAEL
He isn’t around, he hasn’t come back from lecture but he will soon.

NATASHA
Can’t you call him

MICHAEL
already tried but his number is switched off, so we just have to wait lets hope he comes back early

He lie, he hope he doesn’t come back early, well his prayer wasn’t answers because few minutes later Nathaniel opened the door, Michael was trying to make them comfortable by opening a conversation with they but immediately stop when he sees the door opened this get him to his feet, even Phillip and Natasha all turn to the door.

Nathaniel had a hasty day at school and was so tired and needed to rest, he opened the down sluggishly, his eyes fall on Michael who was looking at him with an apologize look, he was still trying to understand Michael when his eyes fell on Natasha who was standing opposite him, he exhale heavily not knowing want to do, he feels like running to her and holding her tight but he hold himself back, he was just speechless looking for the right words to use, then he saw Phillip, he look from Phillip down to Michael, this was harder than he taught, Natasha stare at her brother whose confused and doubt was written all over his face, she feels hurt for Nathaniel behavior, she misses the smile that appears on his face each time he sees her but now it wasn’t there.

MICHAEL
Nath you are cool right.

Nathaniel immediately understand what he meant.

NATHANIEL
What are you doing here

He said walking into the sitting room with a straight face, he drop his bag on the couch, the question took Natasha by surprise.

NATASHA
Nath

NATHANIEL
What are you doing here

NATASHA
Nath, what is wrong, ok fine am sorry.
Natasha couldn’t hold back her tear so she allowed it flow, and this hurt Nathaniel.

NATASHA
Please, am sorry if I did anything wrong.

NATHANIEL
(Rub his face with his palm) look I really don’t want to see you right now so you should leave.

PHILLIP
( upset )

Come on men, she is your sister what did she do that you can’t forgive her.

NATHANIEL
(Angry)

Shut the f--k up

MICHAEL
Nath

Natasha move forward towards Nathaniel but he notice and move backwards and this shock her.

NATASHA
What have I done to you nath that is unforgiving, tell me and I will apologize, this is killing me.

NATHANIEL
You haven’t done anything.

NATASHA
Then what, why are you avoiding me

NATHANIEL
It for your own good, I have a problem, and I need to work on that problem

NATASHA
Whatever it is we can work it out together

NATHANIEL
(Aggressively)

There is nothing you can do but worsen it, don’t you get, take away from me please.
He quickly move away heading to his room.

NATASHA
Nath

Nathaniel ignored her, he has been trying to fight the tear from coming out, immediately he got to his room he rests his back on his door and break down in tear, the pain was to much for him to bear and it’s killing him slowly.
Natasha couldn’t stand any more because her leg suddenly goes weak, she was about to collapse if not for the quick intervention of Michael.

PHILLIP
(Scared)
Are you okey

She didn’t say anything as she just cry

PHILLIP
I will take her home

MICHAEL
Please do

Phillip lift Natasha up in his arm and Michael help in opening the door for them, after seeing them off he went in shutting the door behind him, collapsing on the couch he exhale heavily, he wanted to go see Nathaniel but kick against the idea Nathaniel needs some time alone and he is going to give him that.
