“I am sorry Cynthia but i can’t call off my wedding, i promised to be a good father to my child the best way i can and i will take good care of him or her but i can’t call off my wedding, i am marrying Linda and not you”.

“Dave you can’t marry Linda, you have to marry me so we can become a family”.

“Dave Austin,this is your choice,i will give you one hour to decide on one to do”,the pastor said and tried to live but Dave stopped him.


“No pastor,i have made my decision, i am marrying Linda and nothing can stop me”,Dave said and turned to Linda.

I quickly deeped my hand into my bag and brought out a gun,i quickly pointed the gun at Linda , “Dave i never think that the point will come when i will use this but you have given no choice by insisting on marrying this woman and i will rather kill her because i can’t allow that”.

“Cynthia what are you trying to do please put that gun down”,he said and try to come close to me.

“Don’t you dare come close to me”,i said and point the gun at him.


“Very well then,go ahead and kill me Cynthia,i rather die than get married to you, Linda is the one i love and i will marry her no matter what so go ahead and kill me,what are you waiting for kill me”,Dave said very seriously.


“Please don’t kill my son, i will do anything you ask but please don’t kill my son”,his mother said kneeling down.


“Oh madam we meet again,i didn’t know that you can humble yourself to beg like this and you Mr Austin, how is your lovely Esther?”

“Aunty Cynthia please don’t kill my brother, i will do anything you want but please spare my brothers life”, Favour pleaded in tears.

“Give me two good reasons why i should spare your brothers life,why would i spare someone who doesn’t want to accept his own responsibility, answer me?”


“Please i will talk to him and he will accept it please”.


“Why don’t i kill you in his place then,if you love your brother so much then you should be prepared to die for him as well”.

“Don’t you dare hurt my sister Cynthia”,David blurted out.


“And what are you going to do if i do that,are you going to kill me too,oh Dave you don’t know how happy i am seeing you like this,seeing you in so much pain,what about ending your misery right now”.

“Cynthia please this is not the best way to sort things out,drop the gun and we can talk about all this,Linda said in tears.


“Oh so you can talk.i tought your mouth is glue, i should kill you first because you stole him away from me and if i can’t have him then you can’t have him either”.


“You can have him now but please just spare our lives”.


“Dave you and i and our baby could have lived a better life,we could have lived happily but you chooses this woman over me so get ready to die”,i said and just then a group of policemen walked into the church.



“Miss put that gun down,everywhere has been surrounded with policeman and there is no escape road so surrender yourself right now”,They said.


“Cynthia please surrender yourself to the police before it is too late”,David pleaded.

“I feel like killing you before surrendering to the police but i won’t kill you because i still love you, i did this for our love and i hope you can forgive me”,i said and dropped the gun,the police quickly ran to me and handcuffed me and they took me to the station.

The following day my mom and Tracy came to see me at the station


“Cynthia why did you do this to yourself, is our love not enough for you”,my mom said.

“Mom i am sorry,i didn’t know what got over me”.

“Is OK Cynthia,i can understand why you did it so stop crying, we will get you out of here in no time OK”,Tracy said.


“Don’t worry my daughter,we will get you out of here,we brought food for you”,she said and gave me a flask of food,we stay together for sometime and the policeman came and took me back to my cell,the following day my dad,mom,Michael, Jane and favour came to see me.

“I am so disappointed at you Cynthia, after all i told you before travelling back with favour you still went on to try and disrupt David wedding”.

“Please calm down Micheal”, Jane said to him.

“Don’t tell me to calm down,i am so mad at you right now that i felt like strangling you”.

“Michael please calm down,the least we could do right now is to comfort her”,mom said”.


“How do you expect us to comfort her after this obnoxious attitude of her”,Dad said.


“Dad i am sorry,i don’t mean to do this”.

“You should be ashamed of yourself, doing this because of a guy who care less about you,now he has married the same lady you tried to stop him from marrying and you are here crying and suffering”,Dad replied very furious.

“Come on dad and brother Micheal, what we should be doing right now is to find ways to get her out of this place”,Favour said.


“We are lucky David didn’t agree to press charges against you or else it would have been worst”,mom said.


“Don’t worry big sist you will be out of here in no time OK,” Favour assured me before they left,that evening mom and Tracy came to see me again.

“Mom you both are coming here often, i mean you came in the morning”.

“We came because we had a suprise for you”,Tracy said and just then Dave walked to us,I couldn’t faced him because i was so ashamed of myself.


“We will live you both to talk”,mom said and she and Tracy left.

“Linda and i are travelling out of the country and we don’t know when we will be back,we are travelling out because of what we have gone trough here and we just want to clear everything from our head,she couldn’t come because she said she can’t face you yet and i can’t live without seeing you first,i will continue my studies there and i promised to call you often and send you money often for the upkeep of our child because i don’t want to be left out of his or her life,i loved you so much Cynthia but you pushed me into the hands of Linda, i almost took my own life twice after you left me but Linda was always there to save me,if not for her I would have been a dead man now,i can’t pay her back by leaving her alone now that she needs me,if it hurts you please forgive me,take good care of our child”,he said and stood up to leave.


“Dave”,i called out. “I want you to be happy there and i hope you can forgive me”.

“I already forgave you and i want you to be happy as well and always remember that i care deeply for you ok bye”,he said and walked away and just then mom and Tracy came to announce that i have been free to go home.


“What do you mean by i have been released”.

“Dave didn’t pressed any charges against you and he has asked them to released you”,Tracy said,i quickly took my things and went home with them, seven months later i gave birth to a bouncing baby boy,he looked so much like his father and i named him David Junior, i sent some of his pictures to Dave abroad and he always sent gift to the child,David junior is five years old now and Linda has given birth to two children a boy and a girl for Dave and they based in the united states of American, Tracy got married two years back and she has given birth to a baby girl,Jane gave birth to a baby girl as well and she is five years old as well,Tony was sentenced to thirty years imprisonment with hard labour,i graduated with second class upper and i worked in dad company as the manager, my life has been completed but something is missing from my life and that is love,i haven’t been able to love again since then and i kept on hoping that Dave will come and announced to me that he and Linda are no longer married so the both of us can get married but deep down i know that will never happen because they have grown to love each other so much but i still kept on waiting for him because i still loved him and i know that i will never love anyone again.



THIS IS MY STORY AND AS YOU CAN SEE MY STORY IS A VERY TRAGIC ONE AND THAT IS WHY I DECIDED TO WRITE IT TO THE WORLD FOR GIRLS OUT THERE LIKE ME TO READ AND CHANGE THEIR WAYS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE BECAUSE I REALIZED MY MISTAKE WHEN IT IS ALREADY LATE AND I AM STILL PAYING FOR IT NOW AND I KNOW THAT I WILL KEEP ON PAYING FOR IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE,AND THAT MAKES ME A CARELESS LOVER.
