I woke up a little bit confused on where i am, instead of my soft bed, i woke up to find that i slept on a chair and i was having headache. Slowly yesterday event played back in my mind, i was arrested for a murder i knew nothing about, somebody is trying to frame me for the murder. There could be three explanation to this, its either someone was envious of me and wanted to put me behind bars so that they can took my position or someone knew me and john from our past(but the possibility is this is slim because our identity is classified) or still yet it just be the work of a random killer(but all the evidence where well planted). I shook my head as i got up to get myself myself a drink.

The door opened and the chief walked in with my partner joy, i sat down and try to hid my depression from them, because to be honest i was real depressed.

Chief: good morning detective, how was your night?

Me: i had the best wonderful rest ever(that was a real white lie because my back is aching)

Chief: that good, anyway i have some good news and bad news. So which one do you prefer first

Me: just tell me the one you felt the need to….

Chief: the good news is that the MCIU sectional has approved to release you, courtesy of the good word that the commissioner put in for you….

I smiled inwardly because i knew that the commissioner will come to my rescue.

Chief: ………but the bad news is that sectional heads are not dropping the evidence against you, as far this investigation is concerned you are still the prime suspect. Also you would be injected with a tracking device that help us keep track of wherever you are without needing to contact you, and any attempt by you to remove the device will trigger a shock wave that will hit your brain so sudden that it will leave numb and de-stabilized for days and that would be able for us to catch you again. Again you would to be reporting to them as far as this case is concern……yes they agreed to give the case but you the ultimatum to give them something substantial within 72 hours, i.e something that would made stay off your neck as the killer

Me: and if 72 hours i couldn’t provide anything for them?

Chief: then you would have to find yourself back here and this time around, we would be processing you for judgement, so for your case and for the sake of the image you bore, you better come up with result.

I took a deep breath as i considered the options, i had no choice although i know i have to working all the times in other to make this work.

Me: ok, atleast its better than sitting here, arrested for a crime i didn’t commit
I was injected with the tracking device and my side arms and my badge was giving back to me. I smiled but inwardly i knew i had to work something out in such a short time.

Chief: least i forget, the commissioner demanded that you should call him once you are released.

He stood and left the room, joy approached me with smile and handed me a phone to make the call. I collected the phone and made the call, thanking him for the opportunity he offered me to redeem myself but not without gotten a stern warning from him to abide by the instruction to avoid further suspicion and to come up with something good. I thanked him again and ended the call only to find joy still smiling. Now i had to say something.

Me: what’s it with that smile?

Joy: i couldn’t believe how much you could change in just a couple of hours
I looked at my reflection in the mirror and she was right, i couldn’t even recognise myself.

Me: when you see yourself in my position and still remain the same, then i will know what to answer you.

I went to the rest room and fresh up a bit. I came out and ask her to how i look and she replied that i now look like a human. I told to update me on what i missed, but she insisted that i should eat first because i would be needing that. I nodded my head, she is right, i have an ultimatum to proved a result within 3 days and that would be easy because guessing on how this people move, i knew it would be tough to catch them…..
