The room had a modern furnished materials added to the AC that lowered the temperature to a favourable one. Nath la!d on the bed in such a way his legs were touching the floor while his remaining part of his body la!d upward on the bed still with his phone on his ear trying to hear Joyce out.


“Why still shedding tears?”
“How did you get my number?” Joyce began to dry her tears.

“It doesn’t matter how i got it. Are you still in Kindagan?”
“Yes”
“Then why crying again?”
“I will be disowned in the next 24hrs by my father if i don’t come back to Fehen city”
“Precisely to come and marry Mento, right?”
“Yes”
They remained quiet, yet Joy kept sniffing in tears waiting for Nath to say something.


“You should come back” Nath broke the silence.

“Would you allow me marry Mento?”
Joyce asked but Nath became quiet again for a while.

“No, I’m not saying you should marry him by don’t let you father disown you”

“It’s still the same thing”

“Please, you have to come back, okay?”

the line went off without Joyce responding. Then Nath exhaled deeply staring at the ceiling.
