Letter To My Girlfriend - Season 1 - Episode 12

Agatha walks and talks smartly. She wore a pink plain trouser and a white longsleeve shirt with white cover shoes to match it. She had an attractive dark complexion that could be defined as black is beautiful. She smartly walked inside the shop but came out to pick a bottle-water from the car. She stood inside the shop drinking the water occasionally and monitored Nath do his job. As Nath bent down working, he saw her standing so he said, “Madam, you can take my seat”“Thanks”

Agatha replied with a smile and sat down on the local wooden chair. A few minute later, Nath came out from the car under looking dirty.
As Agatha saw him coming, she stood up instantly. “Are you through?”

“Yes, it is done. I told you it was a minor problem”
Nath replied without looking at her dusting out sand from his cloth. Agatha could see his arm muscles contracting and relaxing as he was dusting, so she stared at him admiring them. Nath looked up and saw her staring at him lustfully then he asked, “What is it?”

“Oh, nothing”
Agatha realised herself. “I was only wondering how dirty you are because of my car” she smiled and jingled her car key.

“You shouldn’t worry about it because it is my job. If i don’t get dirty, i won’t get money” they giggled.

“It seems like you are a funny guy”
Agatha said but Nath kept quiet. “How much is your money?”

“Just five thousand naira”

“Just?”

“Yes, to people like you”

Agatha smiled again and opened her car. “5k shouldn’t be attached with ‘just’” her voice echoed inside the car but Nath heard her. Before she came out with the money, Cynthia arrived standing before Nath with a bag in her hand.

“Hey, i have been waiting for you”
Nath looked very happy.

“I was preparing something. That’s what delayed me” Cynthia replied.

“What’s in the bag?”

“Uhm… it is..”

“Excuse me”
Agatha interrupted them.
She slid her hair backward and glanced at Cynthia.

“Good day, ma”
Cynthia greeted.

“Good day dear” Agatha replied and turned to Nath. “Is she your wife?”
“Uhm.. No”
Nath replied.

“Alright, take this”

Nath collected the money, he thanked her and happily told Cynthia to sit down.

“Can i invite you to my house?” Agatha requested. Her question got Nath worried and changed Cynthia’s face. Seeing the thoughtful faces, she said, “No, don’t get me wrong. I only want you to come and work on my Daddy’s cars”

“Oh, no problem”
Nath said.

“But my house is a bit far”

“That won’t be a problem”

They exchanged numbers before Agatha entered in the car. She put the key in the ignition staring at Nath who gently brought another chair and sat beside Cynthia in the shop. “I wonder why a handsome guy would be doing this type of job” she thought and started the car. Nath glanced at the front glass as she was driving off, their eye caught, so she smiled at him. Cynthia noticed it but pretended not to be aware….

On the other hand, Mr Josh had informed Mr Williams that their children will be getting married in less than a month.

Joyce angrily walked down the staircase over what her father told her. “Daddy, i can’t marry Mento. I don’t love him!”

“Now, listen to me, if you don’t marry Mento, this house you see and everything you have will be gone. That was the agreement made long time ago”
the father ran down also.

“Well, better change the agreement!” the wife came out from the kitchen standing beside Joyce who strongly stood beside her too.

“So, you are supporting her pretending as if you don’t know what is on ground!”

“All i know is that my daughter will not marry that worthless boy”

“I’m giving you a week to make up your mind, Joyce!”
Mr Williams concluded and went out.

Joyce looked at her mother with eyes full of tears. “Mummy, i don’t love him” the tears finally ran down.

“Even though you love him, i won’t allow you to marry him” the mother hugged her. “Stop crying my daughter” she added.

As Nath and Cynthia were still at the shop, so as Emmanuel was on his way to visit Cynthia again. “Maybe she will have a change of mind” he thought.
:
Cynthia smiled when she handed the bag to Nath. “It is for you”

Nath opened it, to his amazement, he saw a food flask then glanced at Cynthia. “You brought food for me?”

“Is it bad?”

“No.. just that it came unexpectedly”

“Well?”

“Thank you”
they stared at each other smiling. “I will eat this at home” Nath added.

“Why?”

“Because it’s a special food”

“No be small special”
Cynthia spoke in pigin English smiling. She wanted to bring up a topic regarding what Nath told her last night about his heart beating for her but didn’t know how to do it. “Maybe that will be later” she concluded.

“How are your parents?” Nath asked Cynthia thereby bringing her back from the deep thought.

“They are fine. My father is not always at home”

“Where does he go?”
Nath asked but Cynthia didn’t answer due to Emma’s car she saw and stared at. The car passed going towards the road to Cynthia’s house. Then Nath wondered why she was staring at it..
