Bolu later added gala hawking in the Lagos traffic to his ventures, when it became obvious that he wouldn't be able to earn more from sand dredging.

On a fateful day, Diran opined to visit Bolu in the Lagos mainland where he was selling gala. On getting to the vicinity where Bolu often hawked gala, he saw a crowd looking at a dead boy. Diran checked the identity of the boy and left hurriedly.

Somewhere in Makoko, Tade glided past other boats as he rushed to Jombo's apartment. He later reached the apartment and made for the stilts passage way.

"Layode, come out. We made it!" Tade shouted excitedly.

"What's the gist?" Layode inquired.

"The man, whose face you drew, has been found. He is the Adimula of Ife-Odan. He was the one that received us at his palace the day we retrieved Adeife."

"Man, I'm loving these," Layode said as he threw himself at Tade.

Minutes later, Diran rushed out of a boat, and hurriedly walked to the apartment.

"You should come and see this," Diran said.

"What?" Tade enquired.

"It is Bolu. He has been knocked down in the traffic by an oncoming vehicle while trying to run away from LASTMA officials."

Tade and Layode sat back on the wooden floor slowly. And there was a moment of silence.

"Our parents have been found," Tade broke the news in a tone suggestive of mixed feelings of happiness and sorrow. "Get your things ready, because some emissaries are waiting for us."
