They expected the attackers to make their way back soon so the question was if they should hold ground or rejoin their main forces.
They discussed it briefly with Sammysmart and they all decided it would be best to return since that was what Tonie expected on them. They made their way briskly, trying to move back to Tonie’s location but all the time very carefully watching expecting things to erupt anytime.

They uneventfully made their way halfway there before they realised that a large force of fighters had struck root between them and Tonie’s force.


As they didnt have binoculars to see far, by the time they realised that it was too late. The place was lite up in seconds like a christmas tree, like a fireball as rounds upon rounds of superior gun fire was blasting their way into their location.

The obvious idea was to eliminate them, someone had given away their route back and the forces curently located there was obviously set after they had crossed that road. This was bad because heavy weapons were involved.
The attackers blasted rounds upon rounds into their location. Sammysmart was loosing his men like flies so was Cynthia. Boneface told Ben if we don’t move we will all die here.

Chido was still not over his emotions so he suggested, “I will take some RPGs and move on the side and closer, when I get a suitable position I will shot some rounds into them”.

Ben replied “Chido this idea is crazy. Once u shoot ur rounds u will be sitting ducks and they will tear u to pieces”. Chido replied “yes, maybe u are right but do we sit here and wait? I will need some people with me.
Beside I am going to reply on u guys to blast them to hell once they turn their gaze at us”,

Cynthia spoke up “I will go with u and so will 5 of my best shooters”. They set off by slowly retracing their steps back and as soon as they were out of sight of the heavy guns they made a sudden left turn over a ledge and then down the cliff side and followed the cliff forward till they could see the encompment of their attackers.

They were still observing, trying to figure out the best probably target to hit to cripple their attackers when Cynthia mumbled “I was never informed that Ibinabo would pour so much force into this just cos he wanted to get 2 people”.
