They then slowly made their way back up the valley. On arriving the top the place was teaming with policemen, some passengers who survived the ordeal sat by the side.
As Chido and Ben arrived the policemen cocked their guns but the other passengers informed them that they were also among the passengers in the buss.
The police huddled them to one side and drove them away after a while to the hospital and then to the police station to make their statement.
They spent the good part of 5 hours answering questions and writing statements b4 they could continue their journey to lagos.
Luckily they were able to obtain some travel money by good samarithans and that was how they managed to arrive lagos in the evening.
They made their way directly to the hospital where Chido’s dad was admitted. By then they were out of money and very exhausted.
On arriving they located his room and u can imagine Chido’s shock when Grace flew into his arms as he walked into the waiting lounge.
She kissed him deeply worriedly looking him over, shocked to see how haggard and unkempt he was. She was even more shocked as he and Ben recounted their ordeal.
