Ben, Chido and the few remaining passengers froze and to their surprise one of the robbers standing on the road lumbered towards them with his gun drawn. Ben knew this was it, he was finished. He was going to die here……

Ben’s luck had run out or so it seemed, in his crouched position he had very little advantage. It was a slight advantage that if used could save his life. The robber had to go round to get to him then again it was dark and he was almost invincible in the darkness.

As the robber walked around them he bend to see what was wrong. Ben waited patiently for him to arrive and them something interesting happened. One of the other passengers with them lost his nerve and darted off from his location. Things spiraled fast from then.

The robber walking towards them screamed corked his gun and pointed to shoot, Ben thought fast. If he shot the others would know something was amiss and they may all die.

In seconds Ben was on him bringing him down b4 he could pull the trigger. While Ben was pounding the robber black and blue another one heard the commotion and ran out to see, his weapon extended.

He and Ben saw themselves at the same time, there was no way Ben could escape this one.

After all bullets are still known to be faster than human beings. He corked his gun and was about to start shooting when a big log of wood collided with his head.

In his haste he had not seen Chido run close by, pick up a nearby log of wood and swing it over his head. Luckily for Ben the wood collided with the head of his attacker.

The 2nd robber went down heavy, he was still moving but not 4 long. Ben ran over to where he lay, picked up the wood and smashed it repeatedly on the robbers head till he lay still. He then retraced his step to the first robber and did the samething.

The remaining passengers with them hit the road immediately the 2nd robber was decisively dealt with by Ben.

After he was done he walked back to where Chido crouched sorting from the heap of clothes till he found theirs. They dressed in silence and when they were ready.


Chido made to move but Ben held him back.

As Chido looked at him Ben told him “U saved my life bro. Chido u saved my life after what I told u in the buss. Chido placed his arm on his shoulder and hugged Ben patting him on his back and thanking him.
