Ben was still thinking aloud when Chido surprised him by asking “what is the Dangari scandal? What happened there?”

Ben went almost white in his face, opened his mouth but no words came out. Tears welled up in Ben’s eyes to Chido’s shock cos he never expected to see this large big mother4ker of hitman to ever cry.

By now the tears were flowing down freely down Ben’s face but he still could find the words.

They heard a voice behind then say “now that’s one answer none of us are still ready to face”. They both turned to see an also white faced Tonie standing behind them.

There was a sad expression on his face as he said to Chido “sometimes not all questions warrant an answer but since u will soon be family I feel I owe u some answers” then looking at Ben he said “let me handle this one. Go and compose urself. We all miss ur brother”.

Turning back to Chido he said “there are somethings that should be left unsaid, somethings to be left 4 thone that are gone”.

There was silence after those words, very long silence.

It was as if Tonie won’t continue talking.
The silence slowly got overbearing after sometime and as Chido looked at Tonie then he saw that Tonie was struggling with some inner demons.

It was obvious Tonie wanted to talk but 4 some unknown reasons just like Ben he couldnt get the words out.

“The Dangari scandal must have been really hard on u guys, if u can’t get urself to say what happened. Then it’s ok. If u……….” Chido tried to say but was stopped by Tonie’s raised hands.

Tonie said with clarity and finality “u have to know what happened cos the same game is been played now and almost the same participants are present now.
