Now Hermes have to take care of one last thing, he was always a step ahead of everyone and he was always patient, he couldn't stand Zeus ruling for eternity without passing the throne on to other gods,even if he did stepped down and passed it on he knew he would never rule over mount Olympus because he was just a messenger nothing more.

Arkagus was a big city and the inhabitants had a great king ruling them, a little far away from the city on the outskirts of the city lived a socerer, he made a living by attending grand parties hosted by the elite and cheered the children up with his tricks.

Of course the grown ups didn't for once believed he had powers, all they believed was that his tricks were rehearsed and perfected well. The old sorcerer had no close relatives which anyone knows of, his House was small and he has nothing of value that's why no one bothered to look more closely into his life.

Hermes knocked on the old sorcerer's wooden door, the old man coughed twice and said its open, you can come in, Hermes opened the door and entered the small house by bending his head a little, Hermes took of his hood and asked for water, the old man poured some water for his guest and passed it to him, Hermes grabbed the cup and drank, he spit out the contents on the floor.

The old man looked at him and asked what's wrong? Hermes replied I asked for wine, she old man was confused and said I'm sure you asked for water, I'm old but not too old for my ear to misguide me, Hermes stood up with the cup in his hand, Hermes pointed the cup at the old man and said then change it into wine old man, perform some tricks let me see.

The old man was shocked no one had believed for once that he possessed such powers but he maintained himself and replied I don't know what you are talking about, Hermes smiled, he dropped the cup and lifted up the jar filled with water and poured the contents on the floor slowly, the old man was shocked at the result, the contents on the floor was wine instead of water, the old man stood up shocked saying who are you and how did you do that?

Hermes smiled and moved towards the old man dropping the jar in his hands, the old man looked into it and saw water, then he faced his guest with confusion all over his face, Hermes stroked the old man's shoulder and said a new age is coming, a new dawn is coming, and I want you by my side when it does, but before that there's something you must do, the old man was speechless and rooted to his spot, he just nodded his head.

A week from now, someone would be here to summon you, and the only way to fish him out from others is that he would bear the mark of the beast on his feet, the old man composed himself and asked what does that mean?
Hermes walked away towards the door, and replied when the time comes you will know, and remember don't go with anyone else except with the bearer of the mark.

Hermes opened the door and vanished,the old man rushed to the door to take a last look at his guest, but when he got to the door, all that was left was strong wind blowing across his face, his guest was gone, he fell to the ground and bowed his head, that was when it occurred to him that his guest was a god.
