Theo and Helios rode side by side without speaking a word to each other, the silence was so deafening Helios had to speak up, you know sire aemon fought this thing three days ago, Theo looked at his friend and said yes I know, and you must know he is still bed ridden up till now, Theo replied I know, Helios continued, then I suggest you change your plan and come up with a better one.

Theo smiled and rode on harder leaving his friend behind, we have no time to waste, seems you the one pissing your pants Now, Helios smiled and rode on to catch up with his friend.
They got to the forest leading to the cave and rode in. Theo went to the back if the cave and Helios went in through the entrance.

Helios had with him a sack bag filled with freshly chopped bull meat, he started dropping off the meat on the floor, towards where it was rumored that the beast lies when resting, dropping the meat he saw dead bodies around, they were so many and were disgusting to look at he almost puked.

Theo had with him the big chain, a bag of oil and his torch, his plan was to light the chain on fire and attack the Beast with it while his friend distracts it with meat and also attacking it with a spear, getting close to the beast was a danger and a spear was the ideal weapon to use.

The ground shook and the whole cave trembled, it was obvious that the beast is up, Helios hid behind a big rock, the same rock sire aemon hid when the beast was after them, the beast came across the fresh meats and devoured them one after the other, Helios couldn't move, he never imagined that the beast was this enormous and that the rumors are true, he didn't move for another reason, Theo told him to wait for his sign, he told him it would be better for them if the beast thought it was only facing one man.

Theo came through and lighted up half the length of the chain on fire while weilding the other end, he sounded the chain on the air and tossed it at the beast, it hooked the beast tail, Theo started pulling the beast backwards with all his strength, the beast screeched loudly and roared, it looked backwards and saw Theo, the beast opened its mouth widely and fire swam out towards the, Theo rolled away but got burnt a little at the back, he rested his back on the floor to kill the fire.

Now! Theo shouted, Helios came out with his bow and arrow and started shooting at the beast endlessly without stopping, the beast roared and charged towards Helios, Theo stood up and grabbed the chain,the chain was still hooked to the beast, the beast felt the pull from its back but paid no attention and still charged towards Helios pulling Theo with it.

The beast was dragging Theo along with it, Helios was running for his life, he ran outside the cave and still the beast kept on chasing him breathing fire everywhere with Theo at its heel, Helios knew this plan was foolish in the first place but Theo was too stubborn to listen,then it hit him the plan was still up,the last phase was to attack the beast with the spear, and Helios's spear was still on its horse, he almost forgot, so he ran to his horse for the spear.

Helios got to his horse and took the spear,the beast was coming with all its might, Theo dropped the chain, his face was covered with blood, being dragged by the beast took it's toll on him, the beast threw him hard on rocks in the cave till they got out, Helios readied the spear and with one swing he threw it at the beast, the beast flanked the spear off with its left paw and consumed everywhere with fire, Helios ran and was surprised, he turned facing Theo what now? He asked, theo stood up blood dripping from his face.

He ran torwards Helios and grabbed the flaming spear, his friend was shocked, the beast roared opening his mouth widely, Theo threw the spear with all his strength,the spear travelled into the beast throat, blocking it's fire duct. the beast started staggering about, theo eunseathed his sword, his pendant started glowing and it reflected on his sword making the blade glow blue, Theo jumped up and swinged his sword cutting off the beast's head in one swing, the head rolled towards Helios's feet, Theo looked at his friend and said bag that up, we are going to the palace for our reward, his friend was shocked for two reasons, one his friend's sword glowed which he had never seen and the other reason is that rumors has it that the beast heals quickly but with one swing of the sword his friend chopped his head off.

He looked at his friend pendant across his neck and saw it glow the same colour in the sword, seconds later the glow disappeared both in the pendant and on the sword, he lifted the beast head up and put it in his sack, and went towards his friend to help him to his feet, are you sure you aren't wounded? Helios asked, theo smiled and said just a scratch,ht turned to show his friend where the beast had burned him, theo patted his friend on the shoulders, I told you my plan was alright, Helios nodded and replied let's go claim our reward.
