THEOMESTRUS
It was a chilly afternoon, the wind was blowing slowly, the sun was out of the sky, sheeps could be seen roaming around a small farm, along the west side of the farm, there is a stable with three horses feeding on fresh hay, Theo was standing tall, not too tall but not short either, his face was smooth, no beards, he was in leather pants and shirt wit a thick boot, he has a pendant on his neck which he loves dearly and never took off and he is a good swordsman, his best friend Helios is almost as tall as him, also a good swordsman, a bit intelligent and he always felt the need to be like Theo.
Theo was living with his adoptive parents, he never knew his mom and dad and his adoptive parents wouldn’t tell him anything, so he grew up with them on their farm, once in a while he and Helios play games to see who was the better swordsman amongst other things, but today they wanted to try something new, something different, today they are going to start with swordplay so whoever beats the other and gets him at a disadvantage position would then proceed to mount his horse and they would race round the farm back and forth, cheats are allowed like trying to slow each other down, fighting on horseback till a winner emerges.

Helios unscathed his sword waiting for Theo to do the same but Theo stood there just looking at his friend with his evil grin around his face, swing and let’s see what you have learnt lately was all he said, Helios smiled back, moved sideways, he took his first swing right across Theo’s face, Theo dodged the blow quick enough and positioned himself well, Helios knew if he kept on like this it would only be a matter of time before Theo grabs his sword away from him, so he devised a decoy, he went head on again swinging in different directions very fast, Theo kept dodging until Helios saw he was distracted while dodging his blows, then he kicked him in the belly, Theo staggered backwards, then Helios grazed him with his sword tearing his shirt and drawing a little bit of blood, seeing how surprised Theo was by his actions, Helios seathed his sword mounted his horse and started racing, Theo stood up grabbed his sword, sheathed it and mounted his horse too racing towards his friend, they were both screaming urging their horses to run faster, Theo was now beside Helios, they both unscathed their swords and started fighting on horseback, Theo was getting stronger by the second and Helios knew he couldn’t beat him but he continued to engage him, he wanted him distracted because there were big trees around where they were fighting and a few more steps forward there was a low hanging branch right where theo was, Helios quickly disengaged in the swordfight and shouted duck, pointing forward towards the low hanging branch, Theo looked in front of him and lo and behold there was a low hanging branch, he bent backwards not hitting it, gaining his position back be started racing again towards Helios, almost meeting up, at his back, he jumped on his horse, Helios jabbed him with his elbow multiple times, Theo grabbed him by his neck, seeing he won’t budge, Theo tried to push him off his horse but Helios won’t have none of that, he won’t go down easy without a fight, he grabbed Theo with him and off they went rolling on the ground, Theo tried to get back on his feet but Helios stopped him saying its over friend showing him the horses were already at the finish line, I guess no one won then Theo replied chuckling, I think I did Helios said, my horse got there first, that doesn’t count friend Theo replied, Helios was Happy Theo didn’t win this time it showed he was getting as good as he was, now it was his time to gloat and rub it in Theo’s face, I knew you wouldn’t see that low hanging branch Helios said catching his breath, Theo already knew what his friend was trying to do and he didn’t want to get into that conversation with him so he changed the topic, aren’t you hungry yet? He said am sure supper would have been ready
