Must Read: My Life On Campus - Season 1 - Episode 19

I couldn't sleep that very night. My life and my junior brothers was astake. Where would we get the huge sum of money these guys asked for. These thoughts ran through my head throughout the night. This was just my first year in school and I was experiencing one of the worst experience one wouldn't wish for.

I woke up in the morning around 7am, how I slept off I didn't know. My examination was to kick start around 1pm so I immediately went for my text book and I ran through the pages cramming some of the vital topics. I was so not myself, I just hoped I won't flop in my examination.

I was about to leave for school when Marvis and Mayson came to my hostel. They were all looking fresh as always. Truth be told, these guys don't have 4 wheels but, their mode of dressing was just superb, they had on ''Hood by Air'' designers.

Mayson: Temy my guy, I hear the matter wey play yesterday. Doh

Temy: Oboy! I just tire. They be wan play me anyhow. Na just Gods grace. Marvis dey the scene. He know how e dey go.

Marvis: so, you go really pay the money?

Me: my guy, I don't know. I don't have that kinda cash right now. And this month na exam full am

Mayson: it is well. Hope you've read for today exam?

Me: I manage cram one or two.

Marvis: your own good. You see this text book, I go carry am enter inside all. I no fit fail.

Mayson: Marv, take am easy o. But I'm with you. No loose guard me.

I locked the door to my room, and we left for school. On getting to school, we were told by the class rep that the exam was going to be held at NLT hall. I observed that Marvis was not comfortable.

Me: Marvis, wetin dey happen na, why you dey fidget

Marvis: oboy! That hall I no like am. Person no fit run things for there na. Why them go shift the location.

We were suddenly interrupted by Angel, who kept shouting my name from a mile away. She was looking so sweet and gorgeous, like always

Angel: Temy, how are you. I hope you're prepared. Hope you read well?

''If only this babe no wetin dey run for my head, she no go dey ask me all this kind question'' I tot to myself.

Me: I don't know o. But I tried to read. I just hope what I read comes out

Angel: you sure? . Would you like something to drink?,

''arrgh! What's happening, why is angel being so nice today'' I tot. Angel and I haven't been in good terms ever since that incident. I love her but, I just couldnt force her to love me back. Love has to be reciprocal.

Me: angel I'm okay. I'm heading to the hall right now. I need to go and settle down.

Myself, Marvis, Mayson and Angel all sat down together. Waiting patiently for the examination to kick start. Not too long the examination invigilators came with the scripts and the examination papers, the papers were dispersed to every students in no time. Our examination had began.

I looked at the question paper and smiled. Exactly what I crammed in my head came out. I was so happy.

Angel: why are you smiling ( whispering) you know the answer abi?

Me: yeh, I'm quiet familiar with some of it.

Angel: open your book lemme see.

Me: please don't copy word for word, try changing the words

I Opened it, to let her copy me. Meanwhile, I saw Marvis with a huge text book, he was trying to bring it out from his shirt where he had stored it. He looked left and right hoping the invigilators doesn't see him. He brought it out and began to copy what was in the text book. I hailed him.''Badt guy''

While writing, Angel kept disturbing. ''temy I can't see your handwriting'', ''what did you write here?'', ''this my pen is not working well, do you have another?''. Gosh!, these questions Angel imposed on me kept flooding my head. Sadly all I read formatted like a blackberry bold 5 phone that just went through a hard reset.

Me: Angel nothing dey my head again. I don forget everything. My brain don format (I said aloud)

Angel: why are you shouting now, do you wan the invigilators to catch us.

I looked at her work and I saw, She had been copying my essay word for word. It was like a dream.

Me: babe, you dey copy me word for word. The lecturer will know.

Angel: stop shouting now.

All of a sudden, one of the invigilators pointed to our direction. He was so furious.

Invigilator: you stand up

Me: sir, me? (looking so scared)

Invigilator: no, that light skinned guy beside you. What are you hiding under that chair.

The Invigilator was pointing to Marvis. He cut him right handed using the text book. Marvis was shaking like a jelly fish. He knew that if he wrote his name on the malpractice form, it won't go well for him. He was called outside, he was to ''probably'' face the disciplinary committee. I wasted no time in concluding my work. Well at least I could get a ''C''. All thanks to my lovely Angel who just ruined my examination.
