Must Read: My Life On Campus - Season 1 - Episode 14

I felt like my world was turning apart. It was like a dream. Is this how hell fire is? I tot. This place was far worse. I felt like vomiting. The stench of the cell, made my belly hurt. I won't wish this place for my worst enemy.

Me: Thompson see wetin you cause. (tears were beginning to take form in my eyes)

Thompson: Temy you be fish. You wan cry?

Me: if I punch you, na hell fire you go see yourself. Why I no go cry when I no get money to bail myself. Na that last 5k dey my account.

Destiny: Una still dey argue, lets talk about the way forward.

Destiny head had swollen, his eyes had turn red, like someone who had smoked 5 wraps of weed. I could tell, he was feeling miserable. Although this wasn't the first time he had been to a cell, I could tell he was a regular customer there as a result of the fact that, he was always caught smoking weed or in possession of weed. Destiny just had bad luck. I felt like he needs deliverance.

Me: so, what's the way forward?

Thompson: I have a plan, make I call my uncle. The bros, na professor for accounting department. But the issue is I have not called him ever since I got admission into AAU.

Destiny: abeg, do am sharp sharp time don dey go.

Thompson negotiated with the police officer, requesting for his phone, so that he could call his uncle. They obliged. In fact, they felt happy because they thought they will surely extort us. Thompson left for the police canter while we stayed in the cell. The other inmates were busy playing ''whot'', some were sleeping, some were just lost in thought thinking of their grievous offences and what life holds for them. As for me, I was busy dealing with the mosquitos who were trying to sU-Ck my blood.

Not too long, Thompson came back to the cell with a smile on his face.

Thompson: I just called my uncle, I told him what happened.

Me: wetin him come talk?

Thompson: He talk say, he go follow the DPO reason.

Me: make him bail us o. I no fit sleep for here o. I can't even tell my Dad, the man go crucify me.

Thompson: chicken. Fear fear.

Me: you don dey find my trouble since. I go play you o.

Destiny: Temy, relax.

After about an hour. Thompson uncle came in to the police station. I could hear his voice from the background. He was talking loudly, speaking gigantic grammar. He was really furious. Not too long, we were released from the prison. His uncle tongue lashed us seriously. I felt really happy to gain my freedom back.

This was a day I will never forget. I just hope someone out there learnt from my mistakes. And Bail is not free. Once you enter into the police cell, you must pay to get out (most especially ekpoma and Benin cell), ours was different. Probably because of the top connections the professor had.
