Must Read: Lucifer's Key - Season 1 - Episode 11

He had watched from a distance, on observing his father lately, he realized he was a changed man, different from the man he grew to know, he now saw in him the monsters he breeds, he saw in him a tyrant, a terror to be feared by others and a father who now cared less about the son he once loved.

Jazaa had for long lurked within the shadows watching him threatening Sinnar into accomplishing what he believed to be a suicide mission.

Jazza hurriedly stepped out of the dark, he rushed towards his father with Sinnar in front of him.

“Baba, I beg you, what you are about to do is dangerous” He pleaded to his father on falling to his kneels.

“What do you mean?” Abubakar asked

“Don’t go up there Baba…please don’t go up there, I fear for your life” Jazza was close to tears in his persuasion knowing he could loose his father.

“I know you care for me but I can’t die, I am Abubakar the great, the ruler of the world, my Amy of Angels will always protect me” Abubakar boasted

Jazza saw his father’s mind was already made up for the impossible mission. He was ashamed for his father knowing he has been blinded by lust of Amarat but he was determined to putting his father back to his senses.

“Father, if you wouldn’t consider my plea, then consider my mother, I am sure she wouldn’t stand to watch you go up into the sky if she were to be alive” he cried holding tight to his father’s leg.

The words surprisingly made sense to him, maybe it was the reminder of his beloved Kudirat or perhaps the flowing tears on his son’s eyes or he just realized each stars in the sky could probably be bigger than the size of the earth itself. He wasn’t sure which of it had most made him considered his son’s opinion.

Sinnar disappeared into thin air.

Abubakar and his only son Jazza sat to have a father son chat, Abubakar through his son’s conversation with him realized he had lost track of who his son really was, the beautiful potentials inside of him, his great love for Islam there newly adopted religion, his sense of maturity was outstanding and that caused a sense of guilt in the mind of Abubakar who felt his own love for conquering the world had made him loose touch with his only blood.

That night, he wept in front of his son, promising never to abandon him again in the expense of his own selfish interest. Unknown to the father and son, Amarat stood watching through a window at the top corner of the mansion, she watched in disgust as a fool of a husband wept like a silly baby in front of his son.

“Who does that? Such a weakling!” she muffled within. She knew only a fool will intend going up the sky to bring down a star… and all for what? She would have loved to see him attempt his suicide mission all for her body.

“So now you choose his words over mine” Amarat said as soon as Abubakar stepped into her room.

She stood looking through the open window.

“It wasn’t his words, it was my choice”

“Your choice?” she slowly turned to look at him.

“Yes my choice, I realized it was dangerous embarking on such a mission” he spurred to anger.

“So what happens to my choice? What happens to you getting me a star?” she asked in a query tone gently walking towards him. She looked into his eyes submissively just the way his ego would want it.

“Tell me what else you want, and I promise to do it”

“You won’t” she looked away in an expression of doubt.

“I promise, as long as it is in my power and possession, I will do it just to gain your love”

“Are you sure?” looking coyly into his eyes

“Just say the words”

“I want Jazza far away from me”

The corridor of the ward oozed of foul smell as he walked through, he looked up at the florescent that wouldn’t stop fluctuating, and he wondered what was wrong.

“Sir, they will soon put off the generator, we are also managing our fuel due to it scarcity, so I will advice you to be as quick as possible, you wouldn’t want to experience darkness in this wing of the hospital” she shared still marching ahead without looking back.

Fabian pushed ahead behind her not minding her words, he wondered what else could possibly go wrong when all patients are obviously behind their individual locked doors.

The nurse unlocked the iron door, she went in and checked on the chains used on the patient, when she was satisfied, she told Fabian to excuse her while she go make a phone call at the corridor.

“You have just five minutes” she gestured at him before rushing out to the corridor. Fabian lightly assumed it must be a guy wants to go converse with.

Carefully, he walked towards the man who la!d on the bed, he looked closely and could hardly tell it was the face of a once young handsome looking man he ever knew.

“What have you done to yourself?” he asked rhetorically, Fayeez eyes were wide open like they claimed it always with his mouth still mumbling the name ‘Sinnar’. Fabian looked around the small room and unlike his first visit with Mustapha, the room was an eyesore, so much unkempt, dishevel and smelt so badly.

He would occasionally hear the nurse giggle and laugh out aloud in the corridor, he was certain it would be a lover boy on the other side of her line whose aim was to have a share of her fabulous butt. He tried to picture her unclad body at the mercy of a sexually pervert macho-man.
“Jeez...concentrate man” he flipped the crazy idea off his mind.

He focused on Fayeez and tried to imagine what he could have possibly encountered in the book, he couldn’t get his head straight in such disgusting environment to think properly. He was certain it must have gotten something to do with Sinnar anyways. Few moments later when he stood to go, the florescent in the room went off leaving a short ray of illumination from the corridor to reflect within. He could still hear the nurse laughing loudly over her phone call at the corridor. As he was about to step outside the room, he heard a voice come from the room, a familiar voice right behind him. He was too frightened to look back hoping it’s not what he thinks.

“AT LAST, WE MEET AGAIN…MY LORD, MY MASTER” said a voice from the shadow

_____________

Fabian slowly turned to meet two yellowish eyeballs glowing within a dark corner of the room, he knew he was suppose to either runaway, scream for help or better still he could just collapse but surprisingly he saw himself doing none of that, he was on his foot staring almost fearlessly at the strange creature he never believed could still exist.

“Sinnar!” Fabian gently called out to something lurking in the dark shadows.

“YES MY LORD” a hush tone answered.

Fabian’s heart skipped a beat, his jaw dropped and eyes popped in disbelieve to what he was experiencing. He took a step backward with one of his foot already fallen out to the corridor. Fabian was lost of what to do or say, he realized Fayeez’s eyes were closed and had stopped mumbling.

“What did…I mean did you do that to him?” Fabian asked pointing towards Fayeez, his voice was shaky and his body trembling likes a jelly-fish.

“HE CALLED ME UPON HIMSELF”
