Before the sun rises, Mustapha rode through the cold morning, he wouldn’t tell Fabian where they were heading to. Fabian watched surprisingly as Mustapha mimed to every foreign music blasting from the car’s stereo. He marveled hearing Mustapha rap effortlessly along and even made use of the careless words in the lyrics.

“Who are you?” Fabian asked rhetorically at Mustapha who appeared carried away by the music

“What do you mean?” Mustapha asked ignorantly as he tries lowering the volume of the stereo

“I mean you are different, you don’t strike me like someone who can sing, now rap music? That’s good” he admired Mustapha the more.

Mustapha explained how he has got taste for good foreign music and had crammed many of the lyrics at heart before he enrolled as a student under the tutelage of Sheikh Jazaar Dingin. He went further to letting Fabian know he had schooled in Ukraine and Malaysia and had also lost his parent while he was a baby. Fabian was much fascinated knowing he and Mustapha had so much in common and could be best of friends.

Besides, they tend to look alike and of same age.

Suddenly, he heard his favorite track came up and the voice of the artist painted his soul in gold causing a rush of emotion inside of him.

“You make it work like its magic, I see nobody…amma care for you…!” the two sang along like pros to The Weeknd’s ‘Earn it’.

They soon rode into a spacious compound; it was obviously a hospital, a psychiatric hospital.

“Brother Abu-Bakr, I’m sure you must be wondering why I had brought you here”

“Yes, why a psychiatric hospital?” Fabian asked with a bit of anger to his tone

“Just follow me and you will soon see”

The two made it to the reception and were attended to by a beautiful lady in her tight fitted professional uniform; she was friendlier to Mustapha. Fabian noticed each seem to be familiar with the other carelessly throwing nice compliments to one another, he saw the nurse blushed. The nurse soon led them into an inner part of the building and as they followed, Fabian could barely take his eyes off the nurse’s protruding butt, he could see the traces of her pinky colored pant through the white fitted uniform which left little for his imagination.

“Gentle men, this way” the nurse said again as she made her third turn through a very noisy ward. Screams and noises came out from almost all the rooms as they walk through towards an isolated part of the ward. The nurse made a halt at one of the doors at the extreme end of the ward.

“And here we are?” the nurse said attempting to open the locks to the door.

“Wait, are you sure we…” said Mustapha who was cut short of his statement.

“Yes you are save to go in, he had just been tranquilized and would surely take hours in him” the nurse said in an assuring tone

Fabian was confused; he couldn’t understand what was happening till he walked in to see a man lying on the bed with his hands and legs tightly cuffed to the bed frames. The man’s eyes were wide open as he weirdly rolled his eyes continuously like a possessed being; thick hairs had formed over his dark face. Fabian heard him mumbling a familiar word repeatedly in very quick succession; he was surprise to hear it was the word ‘Sinnar’.

“Who is this man?” Fabian asked

“His name is Hakeem; he was one of Sheikh’s trusted student”

“You don’t mean Hakeem ibn-Fayeez, the boy from Sudan?” Fabian asked looking in disbelief.

“Yes, do you know him?”

“Absolutely yes, I knew him so well before I left for London…what had happened to him?” he asked still trying to absorb the situation.
