It was so perfect and beautiful for me that it was hard for me to find the exact words to describe it.
Alex’s mom had personally asked me to send my measurement and she had bought it from me, from the US. I really don’t know why God used her to favour me, she really loved me. Many times we held long conversations on Skype video call, not just her but Alex’s father and siblings as well and for the first time, I would be seeing them at the church in some hours.

I sat in front of the vanity mirror and stared at the beautiful princess before me.

Beautiful but simple silver shinning neckpiece adorned my neck while a pair of studding dainty earrings beautified my ears.

“Wow. Pretty. Beautiful” I heard them say everytime and I just smiled at them. Every now and then, there were flashes of phone cameras that I began to feel nervous.

The thoughts of getting married, being a wife in my condition, being a mother and all just made me feel down. “We can do it Tola. We will do it” Alex had said when I had first refused to get married to him when he proposed eight months ago with a blue velvet ring box in his hand.

He was disappointed and even thought I didn’t love him but when I explained to him that I was scared, he had calmed me down and renewed his promises, on his knees with the ring in his hand. I accepted and got engaged after which the wedding preparations began after choosing the date.

I knew that Alex had also been preparing by this time and I grew even more nervous thinking about him and what our future hold. For sure, I knew my Alex was making himself the most handsome groom ever and I couldn’t wait to see him already.

Daisy cleared her throat, snapping me out of my reverie and nudged my elbow slightly as she squealed with delight while Felicia and my mom looked at me with face splitting grins. They were all dressed. Daisy, Felicia and four friends of mine from Unijos constituted my bridal train and they were all dressed beautifully in pink floral gowns pulling at their feet.
