“yeeeeh!! I don die today oh, who i give belle na” i almost shouted as i drew closer to my window, i saw it as the only escape route.

“i say show me the corper room!!” the voice yelled loudly. The loundness of the voice sent shivers down my spine, and i slipped and fell. I tried standing up, but my body was too heavy to move, so i crawled to the window.

“na the room be dis?” the voice queried. “yes!!” a crying voice responded. On hearing that i quickly put my right leg out through the window. So, with my right leg out, and my left leg in, i was gathering momentum to jump out like a “frog”. My heartbeat increased, i could feel a sharp pain in my chest, “abi i wan get heart attack?” i tot. I heard another voice, “Flow come oh, Ilorin don give girl belle oh” Angom said berging into my room and scaring me real good. “Flow, why u sidon for ur window na?” Angom asked, “ehnn ehnn ehnn, i wan collect fresh breeze” i stammered. I immediately found my lost breathe. “God i thank u oh, so no be me at last?” i tot as i rushed out with Angom to go see the “mini drama” Ilorin was displaying.

Ilorin was postrating flat on the floor pleading. At the sight of him postrating i quickly recalled that he had once told us that an Eyeh member can’t postrate to anyone no matter the situation, “u don see where bird dey lie down postrate for any animal? So Eyeh members no fit lie down postrate for anybody” those were his exact words. But now an “Eyeh” member has impregnated his student, so the “Eyeh” member must postrate.

The girl he impregnated was Tola; his Ss3 student.

“Flow, make una help me beg na” Ilorin cried out, “make i help u beg, when u dey do am, u call me make i come do small?” i tot. I, Sammy, Angom, and Kelvin were pleading the “English version”. While Ilorin was pleading the “Yoruba version”. The Yoruba version was creating more impact bcos the woman spoke mostly Yoruba.

She switched to English or rather pidgin English and said; “make una dey beg well well, make i go bring police come”. “madam sorry na!! No bring police na!! Madam sorry na!!” we were all chorusing as she walked out with her daughter.
