Alice snatched her hands from his and nearly slapped him with the anger growing in her right now.
‘explain it again Tony’ she said barely containing her anger.

Tony rolled his eyes and looked at his rolex wristwatch ‘i have to give him the money now Alice’
‘will you shut up!!!’ Alice barked ‘stop saying nonsense right now before i forget that you’re the love of my life and slap you mightily right now’
Tony looked down. He had expected such a reaction from Alice and he had decided to tell her first not to seek her opinion but simply because he didnt want to hide anything from her.
‘i’m not seeking your opinion Alice. And i know that you are angry right now but please try to understand me. I have to do this’ he reached for her hand again but she pushed his hands away.
‘what has gotten over you Tony? Since when did you become a murderer?’
‘i didnt murder Gilbert’
‘the hell you didnt!’ Alice said slapping is back hard with her palm ‘what if that guy was actually the one who killed Gilbert? What if he schemed everything by saying someone else got to Gilbert before he did. He’s just trying to extort money from you, cant you see? And you are willing to give him a whole three hundred million just like that. Money that can be used to feed a whole community, na so your bank account swell up reach?’
‘i’m sorry Alice. I shouldnt have ordered for Gilbert to be killed, i was blinded by anger. He raped my precious daughter Alice. What did you expect me to do? Sit back and fold my arms? And why are you even pissed, didnt he kill people? He who kills by the sword shall die by the sword’
Alice hit his back again and he winced.
‘are your hands made of iron? They are so strong’ Tony said with a grin.
‘are you making a joke out of this situation? This is serious!’
‘what do you want me to do now? I messed up and i have to clean up the mess i made myself’
‘dont just sit there and say rubbish, there must be a solution if you would just think’
‘oh God Alice! Sure i didnt make a mistake in telling you this?’
Alice hit him on the chest and he grinned ‘if i should hit you the exact place you hit me now…..’
‘shut up spoilt boy! Instead of you to try to think of a solution, you are thinking of how to hit my brea.st’
‘brea.st? Did i say i was going to hit your breas.t?’
‘shut up abeg! Let me think’
‘okay’ Tony said and shrugged.
For a while, Alice said nothing obviously thinking while he watched on in amusement.
‘why not inform the police?’ She suddenly blurted out
‘and tell them what? That i wanted someone to be killed?’ Tony asked smiling with his hands on his cheek.
‘you are so unconcerned about this. Is it your money that is getting into your head or what?’
Tony shook his head ‘its not about the money. I’m not a dimwit baby, i’ve got a plan and its going to work out so relax’

Alice frowned and just then the doctor came in with a broad smiled on his face.

Tony stood up rubbing his back in pain ‘i should be going now, take care of yourself’
‘stay safe. For me’ Alice said as the doctor reached for her left arm.

Tony blew her a kiss and left the room.

Alice prayed silently for him, even though he had not taken it seriously or so she thought, she had taken it seriously.

Blackmail wasnt something someone would want to be involved in. Three hundred million? That was a crazy sum of money.
‘i heard everything’ She suddenly heard Dr Tim say.

She thought she was hearing double so she turned to him.
‘pardon?’
She saw the wicked smile plastered on his face.
‘i said i heard everything Tony said. And dont think i’m going to continue treating the wife of a murderer’ Dr Tim said.
