After the speech and his arrival, Emperor Kan met with the council of Skornian elders and the priestess, it was there that he informed them of his decision to leave Skornia throne and go back to Philnia, to his people. Therefore it was finally concluded after much debate that Empress Li should be a reagent for Prince Jilhe, who will assume the full responsibility of the Emperor whe he reached the age of maturity.
After making the decision, it was announced to the whole empire. Skornians were celebrating the fact that Empress Li will start the new dynasty for Skornia while Empress Li was not pleased, so she went to confront Emperor Kan. “Your Majesty, what is this announcement about? I can’t accept this decision, please rescind your decision.”

Emperor Kan smile and held her hands. “And why should I do that? This is what I can do to atone for my people and my sins to this empire and its people. And also it is only you that I know that can hold the empire together until Jilhe is old enough.” Empress Li shook her head. “And you? You will leave us all here, forget about us?” Emperor Kan frowned. “Why are you like this Prez? Of course I won’t forget you all, you can all come visit me anytime, moreover I will always be at the border every six months, so we can see then. Do you think I want this too? I have no other heir and the only one I have, he is now the crown prince of this empire.”
He stood up and started pacing angrily. “So, what do you expect from me? Even Jilhe handled this quite all right, why are you making me a bad person here, I am really frustrated.” He made to leave the chambers. He then headed to their sleeping chamber, he saw her sleeping, she had circles under her eyes and it was obvious she had been crying. He woke her up gently.
