Empress Li started laughing. “Wow, my son is hilarious. But actually I like the name,we will keep it.” Immediately PrinceJilhe and Prince Kani heard of her awakening, they ran to her Palace. “Mother, mother”, Prince Jilhe ran and hugged her. “Am so sorry mother, please forgive me I beg you.” Empress Li consoled him. “I was never angry with you, you are my sunshine and I love you. Come here Kani, I missed you so much too.” Both of them stayed long in her embrace before they finally came apart.
“My sons, have you both been well?” Prince Kani spoke up. “No, mother, the palace was never the same without you but now that you are back, we are happy.” She smiled. “Don’t worry, I won’t leave you again. It’s a promise. I heardtheEmperor came to visit.” Prince Jilhe shrugged. “Yes, I just begged him to let us be that’s all and he agreed.” Empress Li sighed. “Just don’t forget all I have told you Jilhe. I don’t want to lose you my son.” Prince Jilhe smiled and nodded in understanding.

After a while, Xavier came to visit Empress Li. “Am sorry for visiting late Your Majesty, I had to go urgently to Young Village.” Empress Li smiled. “How is everyone over there?” Xavier replied. “They are all fine, they send their greetings.” Empress Li nodded. “Did you find her, my elder sister, any lead?” Xavier looked down. “I am really sorry Your Majesty, I couldn’t find her, but don’t give up yet, we will find her, I also promised to protect her too, I will bring her home.”
Empress Li smiled. “Arata,komaso Xavier(Alright, thank you Xavier). But I have another important work for you.” Xavier bowed. “Actually it’s about His Majesty. Ever since he came back from his Empire, Philnia few days ago he has not been himself and the Queen’s movement these days is suspicious. I think something is going on, I want you to find out for me. You deserve love after all you have gone through. Lucky man I pray it won’t be too late before he realize how Heaven has blessed him.” Empress Li shrugged. “That’s another day’s topic. Anyway without going through all the hardships I faced, I won’t be who I am today.”
Xavier smiled and nodded. “Of course, the best warrior in the whole of Skornia and Philnia Empires.No one knows the most skilled and deadly warrior is inside the Skornia Palace.” Empress Li shushed him. “It’s okay the walls have ears. Anyway soon it will be Jilhe, Kani and Happiness, they are the future of Skornia and its people.” Xavier frowned. “But why Kani? He is a good boy alright but what if he later turn against you and hold his people, the Philnians?”
Empress Li chuckled. “If my assumption is right, then Prince Kani is already among his people.” Xavier shrugged. “I question not your judgement My Empress, you see with eyes far more grown than your age. I will go now. Please take care of yourself and my prince and princess.” He then bowed and left.

After Empress Li awoke from coma, she became more respected in thePalace and left on her own even the Queen gave her space. One day, the Emperor’s mother, the Empress Dowager summoned her to her chambers. “Can I come in Your Majesty?” Empress Dowager smiled.
“Of course Empress trowosio(Come in).” Empress Li entered and sat down. “You called Your Majesty.” The Empress Dowager smiled. “Yes, I did. Don’t you think what you are doing is unfair? You never let Jilhe and Happiness come visit me their grandmother and you also avoided my palace, what have I done to you?” Empress Li smiled. “If I recall well Your Majesty, you specifically told me when I conceived Jilhe that you don’t want to ever see me again? so how could I flaunt your orders?”
The Empress Dowager smiled. “I was only angry then please forgive my words, you can bring them to always come and visit including you too. Will you do that for me?” Empress Li bowed. “No problem, Your Majesty.”

Soon, Empress Li and her children began tovisit the Empress Dowager, everyone in the Dowager Palace loved Empress Li and her children especially Happiness, she became the Empress Dowager’s favorite till the day of her death. Queen Lan was not happy about what was happening but there was nothing she could do.
One fateful day, something terrible happened to the Emperor.

It was reported that Emperor Kan had a fit and he fell unconcious. Everyone including Empress Li rushed to his palace. When she got there she did the unimaginable. “What happened to His Majesty? Speak.” The chief physician bowed and spoke up. “It seems he is being affected by poison. When you ordered that the herbs you were supplying should be stopped, he started feeling sick.” Empress Li faced him. “Moragoyeo(what!), I never stopped the use of the herbs, I knew about his condition that was why I ordered that the herbs be used to cook his meals. Now who stopped the use of those herbs? Speak up before I fish you out.”
The Queen and some Philnian officials sneered at her. The Queen spoke up. “Empress Li, you hypocrite, don’t try to blame others for your crimes.” Empress Li got very angry “well we shall soon see about that.” She sent Lady Dora to get her whip. “Now who stopped the use of those herbs?” A physician ran out in fear. “Please spare me Your Majesty, it wasn’t my fault, it was the Queen who told me the herbs were poisonous that is why I devised how to stop using them in His Majesty meals.” Queen Lan denied the allegation vehemently. “Neinom! Traitorous fool, stop lying against me.” Lady Dora returned with the whip and Empress Li smiled. “Well he can’t just lie against you when there are numerous people here. Unless you are actually guilty. Now my Queen you had better speak up before I whip you alongside your accomplice. And you will also be charged with murder and treason but I can spare you if you say the truth.”
Queen Lan widened her eyes in horror, from the look of things, it seems Empress Li will do all she had said and there won’t be anyone to help her.
