They were finally allowed to enter the Palace,they quickly proceeded to Young Hall, the sleeping chambers. Xavier was devastated when he saw the state Empress Li was in. He instructed the physicians on the herbs to get him. The Head Physician spoke up.
“And who do you think you are? You think you can just order us around?” Xavier hit him hard. “Nonsense.I’m not like the lenient Empress Li if you waste my time and endanger my sister’s life, I will maim you. Infact all of you should get out right now.” All the physicians ran out.
Xavier examined Empress Li and frowned. “What is it sir?” Lady Dora asked. Xavier exhaled. “She’s pregnant. Did the Emperor ask her to get rid of it again, like he did with my nephew Jilhe?” Lady Dora was shocked she didn’t know he he got to know of Empress Li near abortion of Prince Jilhe. “I think so sir else Her Majesty wouldn’t have done this.” “Don’t be shocked nothing goes on in this palace that I don’t know.” It wasn’t long before Xavier prepared the antedote for Empress Li. “Emperor Kan came in angry. “And who do you think you are, what makes you think you can just come here and take over?”
Xavier bowed. “She is my sister and I know what to give her, since they decided not to cooperate, I resolved to saving her and the baby myself.” Emperor Kan was taken aback. “What! Baby, she is pregnant?” Xavier smiled “That is obviously the reason why she wants to take her life but I will save her and the baby and shame her haters. But Your Majesty, please my sister has had a hard time in this palace, please let her go, she would never disturb you just let her leave to another place.”
Emperor Kan nodded. “Arata(Alright), I will think about it.” Then he left. A few hours after giving her the antedote, Empress Li finally felt relieved.

Prince Jilhe was so mad and furious when he heard Empress Li attempted to abort her pregnancy. Finally, Xavier and Prince Jilhe met. “Good afternoon my prince, I am Xavier, your mother’s brother.” Xavier smiled at him. Jilhe nodded. “Yes, I know she told me about you.” Xavier chuckled. “Okay, but won’t you go and check on your mother?” Prince Jilhe spat on the ground. “No way, I don’t want to see her ever again she is not my mother. My mother will always thinks of me first before she acts. This woman doesn’t love me if she did she would have thought of me before she tried to kill herself and the baby, she is very wicked. I hate her and I don’t want to see her again.” He ran off leaving Xavier and Lady Dora standing, looking shocked and stunned.

A few days later, Empress Li finally woke up. The people of Skornia were very happy. When finally Prince Jilhe visited her, he insulted her. “Jilhe, am very sorry, believe me it’s not that I don’t love you my sweet but you should know that everything has a reason.”
Prince Jilhe hissed. “That’s nonsense.I know you don’t love me that’s why you wanted to kill yourself and the baby in your stomach. You are far more wicked than the Queen. I hate you and I will not have anything to do with you again.” He left angrily for his chambers. .Empress Li cried all night while Lady Dora comforted and consoled her.
“Maamma sanguamita(Sorry Your Majesty) please wipe your tears. Prince Jilhe is an intelligent boy, he will one day understand that you did this for him.” She later helped her to sleep.

Meanwhile the Emperorthoughtit wise to give Empress Li some space,so he instructed them to take her to Kan Palace, a smaller palace not far from the Imperial Palace. Empress Li begged and pleaded with Prince Jilhe to go with her but he wouldn’t listen. Finally the day came and Empress Li left for Kan palace. Prince Kani promised her that he would always be with Prince Jilhe.
Xavier also left again for Young Village after making up with Empress Li, he promised to be in touch with her and come when her time of delivery is near.

The palace felt empty without Empress Li,everyone minded their business, there was no liveliness and creativity unlike the time Empress Li lived there. “Take it easy my prince,your mother loves you, she asks of you everyday.” Prince Jilhe shouted angrily. “Don’t speak of that wicked woman, I don’t want to hear it.” Lady Dora finall lost her patience and got angry, she had been persuading him for months. “You think she wanted this? It was also not her wish to die, but she had to else you and many Skornians would have died. The Emperor wanted her life in exchange for yours and all Skornians.”
Prince Jilhe looked stunned. “Morago? She did what?” Lady Dora knew she had broken her promise to Empress Li but she couldn’t stand and watch while Prince Jilhe insult his mother over nothing. “Yes, she almost died for your sake. She didn’t want you to know all this because she was hoping that one day the gap between you and the Emperor will be bridged.” Prince Jilhe started crying.
He remembered when Emperor Kan came to threaten his mother that he would kill him. “I am so stupid, very foolish will mother even forgive me? Miennae Omonim(Am sorry mother)” Prince Kani came and met him crying. Prince Jilhe narrated all that happened to him. “I don’t know why father hates Empress Li so much. Don’t cry brother, am very sure Her Majesty will forgive you, you are her sunlight remember? She loves you so much.” Lady Dora joined in consoling him.
“It’s alright my prince, she holds no grudge against you.” Prince Jilhe nodded and wiped his tears. “Can you take me to her? I want to see her.” Lady Dora smiled. “Not right now but I will come back in a week’s time to take you. You can also come along Your Highness.” Prince Kani was happy? he had missed Empress Li so much. He replied “Of course.” After this, Lady Dora left for Kan Palace.
