And so it was, the mermaids stop disturbing me including Tracy. My mum and dad has been discharged from the hospital and their were having quick recovery.

Early morning on Friday…

I stood up from my bed with a smile. I am tired of secondary school life. I need to upgrade. Next week, I will be sitting for my JAMB exam.

Luckily for me, me and my friend Joy would be going to the same center on the same day to write the exam. However, my name came out among the first badge to write while her name came out in the second badge.

I wore my uniform after taking my bath and brushed my teeth. I came downstairs and Ruth, our cook greeted me.

Ruth: good morning small madam.

Me: good morning, how was your night?
Ruth: splendid and yours?
Me: very nice.
Ruth: I have prepared your food. It’s on the dining table. Do help yourself.
Me: thanks.
I said as I moved happily towards the dining table.

Me and Joy were reading against our exam coming up next week. These days, Tracy haven’t been appearing to me and what gives me Joy mostly was that during this time of Jamb, she haven’t been coming to school. Rumors do have it that she enrolled for Jamb in another school. Well, to God be the glory.

Joy: this one that you are delighted this days enh, what is the secret na?

Joy said keeping the book she was reading aside. I also closed mine and looked at her face.
Me: babe, you won’t understand oo. Me am truly happy for my life. Everything is just moving on smoothly.
Joy: that’s very nice.
Me: abeg forget about this talk let’s concentrate on our books. Next week we are writing our Jamb exams and I don’t want to hear stories that…
