“If our politicians always end up deceiving us, why then do we keep believing and voting for them over and over again, the former one was democracy for the people and they ended up giving democracy only to themselves and their families, the current one promised us change and the only change am seeing around is the constant travelling of our so called president” Nazaretha listed out his points during one of their numerous argument about politics.

“My friend stop wailing joor, how do you expect the current government to change everything that the previous government caused in the space of sixteen years, are you expecting them to perform some kind of magic or what” Kong countered
“if they can’t fix it in a year then they won’t be able to do it in four years” Nazaretha was about to counter back with more points but was distracted by the entrance of Slimmy into the living room, immediately he entered most of the guys wanted leave the room but he just signalled for them to stay and continue with whatever they were doing.
“You see this problems will always keep resurfacing as long as we are in a democratic world, I for one think that military should come and take over again”said Slimmy.
“Military?” everyone in the living room exclaimed, everyone except Gentle who had his headphones plugged into his ears and couldn’t hear what they were all conversing, he was probably lost in thoughts also.
“Yes military, firstly you see in military regime it’s only few set of people that have the ability to embezzle funds unlike democracy which every stupid dog that calls himself or herself a politician can chop the national cake anyhow. Secondly there will be orderliness and fear for power, imagine the case of that opposition governor that went as far as china to block the president’s Mission over there, if to say na military regime na from airport to prison straight ” Slimmy explained while they all watched and laughed at his suggestions and points.
“But Slimmy forget oo, That governor is the bravest yoruba man I have ever seen, he is braver than all your yoruba politicians put together” Nazaretha wanted to make his point but couldn’t finish before Kong countered him “Guy abeg no talk am again, you think say our own politicians be like your own, you are just a wailer”.

“And you are a bloody zombie living in the zoo” Nazaretha snapped at him but couldn’t continue before Slimmy’s phone rang, Slimmy signalled for them to be silent.
“Hello bossman……… Noo it’s not like that bossman….. we didn’t think you will be interested in such I minor issue…… but we….. but…… we……we…. okay …. okay bossman… we are very sorry”….”s--t” he exclaimed after terminating the call. Everybody stopped what they were doing and starred at him.

“Out, out everyone” he shouted and almost immediately all of them rushed out. Gentle noticed the uneasiness and removed the headphones to know what was going on.
“Nazaretha and Kong stay back” Slimmy ordered. They both walked back to their seats and sat down, Gentle still couldn’t understand what was going on.
“Host is in town” Slimmy said softly after a short period of time. Immediately he said that, they all were taken aback in fear as they all heard the news.
Host is the number one member of the Arch Angels on campus, ofcos he also has superiors outside campus, different Ex members of the Arch Angels when they were in the university but their rule in the cult is that you can only be an Ex member when you are dead so therefore all of them were still very much involved in the activities of the Arch angels even after becoming politicians, top bankers and many more. Host is popular for his heartlessness, wickedness and his unforgiving spirit, his philosophy is that if you f--k up once then it must be treated regardless of who you are.
“And to top it all, he has heard about El salaam’s dropping and he is very angry that we took matters into our own hands without consulting him” Slimmy contd
“But he wasn’t around na” Kong replied in objection.

“Should I call his number and tell him you said that?” Slimmy asked Kong what he himself knew was a rhetorical question and as expected he got no reply from Kong.
“I saw this coming” Gentle spoke barely audibly.
“Trouble knocketh on our door and we knoweth not what we can do” Nazaretha spoke in his funny English but none of them had the balls to laugh, even Nazaretha didn’t intend to be funny when he spoke like that, they were all aware of the kind of trouble Host is going to cause for them, the first unwritten rule in the arch angel’s rulebook is ‘The fear of Host is the beginning of wisdom’…..
