‘I thought of you each moment, each second. The chief was trying not to torture me too much as he had planned some worse fate for me.

Maybe on camera execution or making me hostage till their demands were fulfilled. I had no fear of all that. My only regret was that I couldn’t meet you, hold you, and be with you.’ Roshan moved closer and took Snigdha in his arms, holding her close to his chest, engulfing her in his big, strong arms, his hands meshed in her hair. Snigdha savoured the exquisite pleasure she felt at having him so close to her. For long minutes they remained like that, holding on to each other for life. Slowly, Roshan lifted his head and brought his hands up to cup her face and in slow motion Snigdha saw his head coming close to her, his lips touching her own with tenderness, moving slowly, the fire building up. A m0an escaped Snigdha’s lips as all her pent up emotions spilled over, and she raised her arms to curve around his neck. Roshan’s control broke loose and he slanted his head to kiss Snigdha deeply and hungrily. The time had stopped for the two of them, as if nothing and no one existed for them. The agonising weeks of separation made them desperate to find in each other the solace that only they could give to each other. The love that Snigdha felt for Roshan spilled over uncontrollably, making her actions uninhibited.
After what seemed like hours, Roshan lifted his head and looked at Snigdha with smouldering eyes.

‘Before I break all barriers and whisk you off to my room, I need to tell you that I adore you and crave for you. I can’t imagine my life without you. And I know you feel the same. Just tell me, you will be with me always, wake up with me every morning and let me take care of you all our lives?’
Snigdha felt her mouth open in the biggest surprise she had ever received in her life.
‘In a nutshell, will you marry me?’ Roshan said looking deeply into her stunned eyes.

Snigdha could only ask, ‘When?’
‘Today… tomorrow… as soon as possible!’ Roshan brought her even closer to himself.
‘Yes Roshan, I will!’ Roshan gave a whoop of pleasure and kissed her hard once, before saying,
‘You know I love you, don’t you?
‘Yes Mr. Khan. And I love you more!’ Snigdha said with a brilliant smile.

Roshan’s face split into a wide smile. His eyes roamed all over her smiling face, that was so full of love for him, that he could visibly feel the flames of their love and passion surround them, making them burn in them. He knew that he had found his flames of paradise, in which he was waiting to get doused. He bent his head once again, to seal their promise, the promise to love and cherish each other lifelong
