DAD: you know what i am talking about

MUM: i don’t know what you are talking about

DAD: you do, we all know that you have always supported him all these while
MUM: what wrong has he done this time around that made you reminds me of that?
DAD: i am sorry, i was just angry
MUM: angry? Why?

DAD: let us just forget of it, i am hungry and i need to take my bath
MUM: you can go get your bath while i prepare your food

DAD: okay then
He stood up, eyed me suspiciously one last time before walking into his room while i heaved a sigh of relieve. Cooled for now but the one coming later will definitely be more dangerous and i don’t know if i could still keep my cool. I sat beside mum and rested my head on her shoulder, i could notice as tears was trickling down her chin
MUM: what did you tell him at the air port **she asked as i clean off the tears**
ME: i told him that i am the new driver you employed

MUM: **Smiled** really?
ME: **nodded**
MUM: don’t worry, everything will be okay
ME: i don’t think so mum
MUM: don’t tell me that, why do you even have to say that?
ME: don’t you hear what he said; that he is angry with me without even meeting with me, that he wanted to confirm something from me when we never met. What do you think that he is trying to do? Throw me out again?
MUM: i won’t allow that to happen again. Just keep your cool and don’t reply him no matter what because i know that you act silly sometimes

ME: i will try mum but i may lose it if he take it too far

MUM: try for me sweetheart **smiling as she pat my back**
ME: okay mum
MUM: that is my baby. Mira, please, arrange the dinning for him please
MIRA: okay mum

She replied as she made her way to the kitchen while i remained with mum in the sitting room. I sat quietly without speaking a word while my mum also kept to herself which really helped me a lot as i was not in the mood for any discussion

My dad emerged from the room putting on only a three quarter short with short sleeve T-shirt.

DAD: why would he have to remain here still, haven’t you given him his room? **he asked as he sat down staring at me**

MUM: actually, he is not a driver, i brought him so as to give him a help and fortunately, he was good at driving and decided to be helping us out

DAD: that means that he will be living here right?

MUM: yes though i was waiting for your go ahead

DAD: but i never bothered you about any decision. Anyway, when will Ben be returning?

MUM: i think he will return before you finish with your food

In no time, we were sited round the dining table eating

MUM: will you be able to recognise your son if you see him?

DAD: why not, of course, he is my blood for crying out loud. I was only angry with him because he was supposed to meet me at the air port

MUM: do you know who brought you back from the air port?
DAD: now you are trying to support him, i always know that you will always support him
MUM: i asked again, do you know who brought back from the airport?

DAD: **confused look** here is he now **he replied pointing at me**

MUM: maybe you take a good look at him again maybe you will recognise him this time around
DAD: **stared at me while i bent my head a little** my mind has been reporting to me right from the airport. Ben?
ME: yes dad, good evening dad **i replied without smiling as I pulled off my cap**
DAD: you guys got me real hard and i will surely reciprocate **he said while they all laughed but i still remained dormant like a statue**

DAD: i could guess why **he smirked** he has grown than i could imagine, just like me, and i guess he will be more than me in the next three years
MUM: what do you mean you could guess why?
DAD: why your son has been messing around with women, i mean, old women. You could see why i have been complaining about him
We all gasped while i stared at him with horror. I couldn’t imagine that the man could not be happy for me for just once. I was confused on where he was driving at
ME: i don’t …..
DAD: shut up, i don’t want to hear anything from your mouth **he shouted while i fumed**
MUM: could you tell us the meaning of all these?
I could see as Mira looked at me with pity, pleading with me as my muscles stretched and my veins became visible. The only thing on my mind at that time was “”murder…murder…murder””

DAD: i think you could still defend him with these
He said as he brought out his phone and opened an image, placing the phone on the centre of the table. I gasped as i set my eyes on the picture
“Where the hell did he get this picture from?”
