I brought the car to a halt at the packing space of the restaurant that i
visited with Mira the previous time.

Surprisingly, my mum grabbed my waist
and i have no other option than to cross my hand above her shoulder so
that i would be comfortable as we made our way into the restaurant.

I couldn’t help but noticed how people stared at us and i don’t blame them
because everybody likes what is good. The restaurant was almost filled
that evening and we have to move to the last edge of the restaurant. Mummy
made her order and i have no choice than to order for only fish because i
don’t have any appetite for food despite the fact that i only ate in the
morning

MUM: i d’ have ordered for fish, that is my favourite but i didn’t see it
on the list
ME: let me make it for you
I stood up and walked to the counter and ordered for what my mum wanted.
The waitress insisted on bringing it to our table but i told her not to
worry. I collected the tray and set it in front of my mum before sitting
down on my chair opposite her
ME: i am sorry mum
MUM: forget it son and remember that i am your date partner and you have
to call me honey, sweetheart baby and any romantic name of your choice
**she sarcastically replied**
ME: **laughing** okay baby, i am sorry for what happened at house; i
didn’t mean to cheat on you
MUM: but i caught you red handed with another woman
ME: i don’t know what came over me, i couldn’t control myself
MUM: is okay baby, just don’t try to cheat on me again

ME: i promise baby **smiling**
MUM: that is my baby
She stood up and gave me a deep kiss on the lips; that was the first time
i shared lips-to-lips kiss with my mum though we always share pecks but
not too intimate. It will be a big lie if a say that i didn’t feel
anything about the kiss, it was really intimate and i wished it lasted for
more seconds but there was no sexual feelings attached to it, only kiss
feelings (She is my mum for God’s sake). But i really admired my mother’s
lips; i could guess that i inherited mine from her

MUM: you taste so romantic baby **she exclaimed as she sat back on her sit**
ME: and you are the best i have ever kissed
MUM: **smiling** naughty boy, remember that i am your mummy

ME: yes, that is why i always admire your lips
MUM: **laughing** i guess you are a real flatterer but with your mother?

ME: really? But you are my date partner **i smirked**

MUM: oh! I am sorry, i nearly forgot
ME: better don’t do because i love hearing you call me baby
MUM: we have to go now; Mira will be bored at home

ME: i want us to stay here for some more time, i am really enjoying here
MUM: i guess you will but we have to leave, you have exhausted your time
ME: okay mum but i have to get you a gift
MUM: thank God you reminded me; let me see what you will get for me
We drove to the boutique that i bought Mira a gown; my mum selected the
same gown as Mira before we hit the road on our way home. I stopped the
car some metres away from our compound
MUM: **surprised** what is the problem? Don’t tell me that this new car is
faulty because i will make sure that the man that supplied the car will
regret ever playing on me
ME: not that mum

MUM: **confused** then what?
ME: i know that everything that happened in the house today were all my
faults mum. I felt guilt, i want to plead with you not to scold Mira
because it was not her fault but mine, i forced her. I knew that i cannot
face you henceforth but i want you to restore the normal relationship
between you and Mira **i sincerely pleaded**

MUM: **laughed** is that all you problems?
ME: i know that you are sad with me but please, don’t involve Mira
MUM: relax boy, i told you that i am okay with you. I am actually at fault
somehow because i wouldn’t have allowed you guys to have anything together
in the first place but, your dad always insists that you will marry Mira
because of her kindness and decency but i don’t know that you will not
like her despite her beauty. I am sorry i didn’t tell you but we all
resorted that she was betrothed to you without your consent because we
don’t want her to misbehave though we never told her our intentions. I am
not angry with you or her but i made her promise me to stay off you no
matter how difficult it might be and i want you to promise me that you
will not come closer to her because she told me that she always feel weak
whenever she was with you and i don’t want you to intimidate her with your
presence

ME: i promise mum, i don’t want you to be angry with me, i don’t want to
lie to you, i love you mum **tears began to drop from my eyes**

MUM: is okay, **wiping away my tears** i love you too
ME: mum?

MUM: yes sweetheart
ME: there is something i want to tell you
