MUM: **shouted** what?

I glanced at Mira and saw as she simply fixed her gaze on me looking deadlier than a chronic murderer who finishes smoking countless wraps of hemps. I simply avoided her gaze as i don’t want to feel remorseful of my action because i knew that it was the right thing though complicated

MUM: and why have you been sleeping with her?

The question took me by surprise, how do she know that we have been getting raunchy with each other? Even though she knew that i will be having something with Mira, i never imagine that she will suspect that i was getting under her skirt because she never catches us in the act

ME: i knew that i have feelings for her but i cannot call it love. Moreover, you wanted the truth, and that is it though i don’t know if i am in love with her or not because it is still too early to term what we share as love

MUM: now, see Mira, **she turned to Mira** what i have been telling you. You are not sure but you kept on insisting that he loves you. I would have been happy to see both of you fall in love but now, my hope has been dashed

ME: i am sorry mum, but your hope has not been dashed. I said that i don’t love any girl presently, why the lost of hope. Not that i have any other girl that would have made you scared that i will not love Mira and you know that i don’t go out that i would meet with another girl. So she is the only option and i knew that i might fall in love with her

MUM: what are you saying?

ME; what i am saying mum is that you should give me chance to sort things out with her

MUM: not again, you sort things yourself

ME: why?

MUM: i have given you enough time to choose what you wanted and the time is over now. Do you know that i am risking the wrath of your dad in letting you keep in touch with her? As from now onward, i don’t want to see you near her and as for you Mira, we return to the normal rule, no boyfriend or male friend for you until he come up with something good. Since you can’t decide when you are with her, i think that you will be able to decide when you are not with her because you will miss her if you love her

MIRA: please Mum, give him second chance **she pleaded**

MUM: shut up **she shouted** give him second chance so that both of you will be sleeping around like dogs and if you get pregnant, all the blames will be on me. My decision is final

I couldn’t believe what i have found myself in. Staying off Mira will be my greatest nightmare in this house. Not the sex but the friendship we shared, though i will find it very hard to stay in the same house with her because she was extremely tempting and i don’t know why i couldn’t fall in love with her

MUM: don’t think that you guys can play cat and rat game over me. Note that there is cameras in this house and everything is been connected to my system in my room. So, don’t try to sneak into each other’s room or do anything when i am not around because everything is on record and if i eventually discover any indecent act between two of you, i will not tell you what will happen

ME: so mum, you are trying to say that we should not communicate with each other or help each other? That means that we should be enemy **i complained**

MUM: no, not like that. You can communicate, help each other but everything must have limit. You can joke, discuss but know your boundary

As far as we will be helping each other and share discussion together, there will be no problem because i knew that we must bleep each other somehow without her knowledge, no matter what as far as Mira will be interested

ME: okay mum

MUM: and, i don’t want to see you with any girl or bring any girl home without formally introducing her to me, you get it?

ME: yes mum

MUM: and note that everything that i am doing is for your own good and you don’t have to get angry with me or feel bad or withdrawn from me

ME: no mum, i understand, but i want to ask you for one last favour

MUM: anything, i will do for my sweetheart

ME: i will like to have privacy with Mira for a brief discussion

MUM: okay, i will grant you that wish but the last

ME: thank you mum

MUM: **smiling** mummy loves you

ME: **laughing** love you too. I will like to take you out on a date today mum

MUM: but i am not ready now

ME: by 4pm please
MUM: okay, i will give you guy’s chance
