I stared at the screen of the phone as i don’t know either to answer it or not. The first call rang out without me receiving it. She called the second and the third time before i answered the call

JULIET: hello **she sounded from the other line**

I kept silent without uttering anything

JULIET: are you there?

ME: what do you want from me? **i bluntly asked**

JULIET: eerm…..eermm

ME: **interrupted** why do you call me? Have you called to finish off what you started?

JULIET: i am sorry Ben

ME: are you done?

JULIET: please, i am very sorry for what i did, i was very angry; i didn’t know what came over me

ME: just as i am very angry now but not because of what you did but because i failed to mind my business. All the same, thank you for showing me how to mind ones business

JULIET: i am sorry Ben. I will do anything to make up with you

ME: i don’t need anything from you

JULIET: just name it, sex? Money? Anything of your choice

I don’t even know what was wrong with this d--n girl that all her thought was about pleasures. Was she not scared of the side effects of sex?

ME: i mean it, i don’t want anything from you and if i wanted one sometime ago, not anymore

JULIET: common, i don’t want to have any problem with you. Just tell me what to do that will make you happy and i promise, anything, i will do

ME: you said anything?

JULIET: and i am serious about it

ME: okay then. I only need one thing from you

JULIET: what? **she screamed**

ME: reconcile with your boyfriend

JULIET: what? **she shouted**

ME: i said, apologise to him and settle your entire dispute with him

JULIET: you know i can’t do that

ME: deal or no deal?

JULIET: wait. Please. Name any other thing excluding that

ME: that is the only thing i want from you

JULIET: but, why are you so keen that i reconcile with him? Moreover, you don’t even know him in person or in voice whatsoever

ME: that is the more reason i want you to reconcile with him. Maybe he is my friend or something like that or somebody that i will need his help in the future

JULIET: anyhow, i can’t do that

ME: no deal then

JULIET: wait. Okay, i will try do it

ME: before tomorrow

JULIET: it is too late, i can’t do that today

ME: you have his number, you call him right away. Note that you can’t play me

JULIET: **resigned** okay. I will call you later
I sighed. First mission accomplished. She later called to tell me that they have resolved their difference while i urged her to love him with all her heart and do everything she knew that will tighten the bond between them while she kept on thanking me
Janet’s call came me in but i refused to answer it. After calling for so many times none stop, i switched off my phone and lay on the bed until sleep took me away
One Month Later
I walked down the stairs to meet my mum and Mira seated on the couch in the sitting room. It has been a month after my problem with the V. President daughters. I have not spoken to either of them since then though i d’ visit their parent frequently, i made sure that i avoid them. They still never rest as they will keep on calling my line but i later blacklisted their numbers and always lock myself in my room whenever they visit.

My sexcapades was only with Mira and she never got tired. She was always there for me whenever i am h---y. I also took that period to learn how to drive under Mira’s tutor and sometimes, the family driver. Mira never cease to mock me whenever she was teaching me but that even made me serious to be good in driving

I still couldn’t contact Liza because she warned me not to call her unless i want to collect what her mother got for me and i don’t want lose it. I didn’t fail to call Evelyn and Anna on a daily basis as well as my friends.

I sat on opposite sofa as my mum. I wonder why she has to summon me that day because it has been long she did that maybe something important was on ground. I was not able to wash my face before she call me that early morning

ME: good morning mum

MUM: good morning sweetheart how was your night **she seemed very happy**

Though my mum was always cheerful almost every times but her present mood speak otherwise. She was too happy that i began to wonder if she purchased new private jet. I stared at her trying to guess what she was up to but couldn’t. I looked at Mira and her face was plain like somebody that was feeling dizzy

MIRA: good morning Ben **she coldly greeted**

ME: morning Mira

MUM: i think you could notice that there must be something very important on ground? **she asked smiling**
