ME: what are you doing Mira **i stammered**

The girl did not even cared to reply me as she
kept on licking her lips and moving
closer to me. Now it was obvious to me that
the incident of the previous day was her
plan as she knew that mummy will not be out
quickly.

ME: No, we can’t do this Mira **i said as she
began to rub my chest**

I pushed her away and rush out of the kitchen
only to meet my mum in the sitting
room watching early morning news

ME: good morning mum

MUM: morning. Why are you running? **she
asked with a stern look**

This woman is always sharp, how could she
be able to notice that i ran into the
sitting room when i slowed down immediately
i sighted her? And what will i tell her
that was making me to run around the house?

ME: having some play with Mira. She was
preparing something in the kitchen ** i
replied smiling**

I sat beside her and crossed my hand around
her shoulder as we both watched the news
been broadcasted

MUM: i told you that she is a good girl and
you will like her

ME: i already did **faked a smile**
If only she knew that the girl was my greatest
temptation in the house

MUM: so, are you not curious on meeting with
the vice president and his family? Most
especially, his daughters?

ME: i am not curious about meeting anybody.
I am just doing that for your sake you
know?

MUM: yes i know and you will have to be very
respectful when we get there

ME: you know me mum. I don’t use to be
arrogant to people

MUM: i know but he is a high profiled person

ME: all the same, we are all human. So when
are we going?

MUM: immediately we finish eating

ME: will Mira be coming with us?

MUM: yes, the driver will drive us
We waited for Mira to bring food to the
dinning but she was not forthcoming which
made me uneasy as i don’t want my mum to
find out that she was in a bad mood and she
must definitely ask of what was wrong with her

MUM: this is very strange ooo. She don’t use
to waste much time when cooking **she
complained about Mira**

ME: let me check on her
I walked into to the kitchen to see her
rounding off her cooking. She was very moody

ME: why are you behaving like this? **i asked
scanning her face**

MIRA: is that how to apologise for running
out on person?

ME: but you know that what you were trying
to do was not good. What if mummy catches
us here, what do you think she will do?

MIRA: what i am trying to do is not bad and
mum don’t come to kitchen unless on
Sunday

ME: do you know that she was worried why
you haven’t finished with the food?

MIRA: oo! That? Let me do it quickly, i am
almost done

ME: i will help you carry the food to the
dinning

MIRA: **smiling** that will hasten my work as
i will be taking the food of the gate
man and the driver to their room
The dinning was situated in such a way that
anybody in the sitting room will not be
able to see anyone in the dinning
Breakfast was served and in no time, we were
done

MUM: both of you should hasten with your
preparation

I don’t know the kind of visitation that was
done in the morning. I walked into my
room and took my bath for the second time of
the day within three hours. I put on a
black jean with a white T-shirt and applied a
nice perfume. I walked into the
sitting room to see mummy and Mira waiting
for me. I was surprised because ladies
always waste time dressing, maybe i spent a
lot of time, i don’t know

Mira was putting on a blue-white jean with a
pink short sleeve top will mummy was
putting on a simple gown that i guessed will
be very costly because of the quality.

We walk out of the house and in no time, we
were on the road. I sat beside the drive
while mummy and Mira occupied the back
seat talking all that their girls’ talk while
i kept myself busy with my phone; chatting
with my friends

I updated them about my journey and they
were all happy but never ceased to bombard
me with insults which i also replied. Frank
told me that Anna has been asking of me
and i told him to ask her to call me which he
promised to.

Not less than five minutes, the car pull up in
front of a missive compound and the
gate opened automatically. The driver drove
in and we alighted while he remained in
the car. See as security men were greeting my
mum and Mira. That was not my concern
though; my concern was to get out of this
compound as quick as possible
My mum and Mira lead the way as they
opened the door that led to the sitting room of
the house. We all entered but i stopped at the
door to scan the people in the
sitting room. A middle aged man i recognised
to be the vice president was seated
with another woman i termed as her wife
while two girls who looked almost alike sat
on a combined sofa with their gaze focused
on the television at that early hour of
the day.

Immediately they sighted my mum, they all
stood up as my mum walked to the man and
gave him a hug. Mira was very busy shouting
with the two girls happily as it seemed
that they were friends. That was what i
detested, leaving me on my own in a group of
people that i don’t know. It seemed that they
did not even noticed me

V. PRESIDENT: Ben? **he pointed to my
direction**

MUM: **smiling** yes

V. PRESIDENT: wow! **he beckoned on me to
come**
