ME: i understand. **i answered, not knowing what else to say**

ME: but what about the food, i mean, you never knew that i was with my friends but yet, the meal was according to our number?

EVELYN: i heard voice from the kitchen and decided to check who you were speaking to

ME: but why don’t you come in then?

EVELYN: i don’t want them to see me. **she answered in discomfort** or do you want them to see me and began gossiping that i was having……………..**she stopped and looked away**

I knew what she wanted to say but she discovered that it was not the right thing to do or rather, saying it will seem that she was having the feeling that we are dating. She was very angry, very angry but not with me but herself. She looked confused and frustrated but also optimistic. Her face suddenly changed and shows that there was something that she want to tell me, she was quite relieve with a little smile on her face. I wondered how she could be able to switch mood easily like that, what bring about confidence in her

EVELYN: how about your friends, what were you discussing. I am sorry i have to ask because it is personal to you but i have to, i want to know everything about you, i want to understand you. Please, don’t get angry and tell me everything **she pleaded heartedly**
Her pleading melted my heart. Telling someone what you and your friends discussed is very difficult as it will be very awkward and very foolish but her pleadings confirmed her concern and fidelity. I wouldn’t have told her anything if not that i don’t want to keep on making her sad, at least, let me do her wish for once

ME: they talked about Tracy and you when they saw you in the dining. I am sorry, i wouldn’t have told them that it was you because they didn’t see you clearly but i don’t have any other thing to tell them

EVELYN: i understand. That was why i decided not to come there, it will be an embarrassment to me, though i am not shy to be seen with you, i have my pride to protect **she sincerely said** but what did they say about me. I know that they hated me because of my method of approach in teaching but i must tell you that it was for their best. All i did was to make them serious and achieve the best thing that will be of a great use for them in the future. All i want was their best but they took it to another level, maybe because they didn’t recognise the advantage of what i was doing for them but i prayed that they will get to appreciate my efforts in the future

ME: likewise me. I thought that it will bring problem between me and them but i was surprised when they feel relax when i told them that it was you, they actually liked you a lot and talked many things about you

EVELYN: **surprised** and what do they say about me? **she asked**

ME: they commended your cooking prowess and you’re….your…..beauty

Her mood changed immediately i talked about her beauty. I thought that i made mistake telling her that but she requested that i tell her everything and the truth. What i told her was not actually what made her angry but the fact that i was not the one that told her that, i never commended her beauty but how would i do that without raising her spirit of expectation.

ME: they mostly commended that your food was just boom **i diverted the topic and she smiled** they said that your food was just much better than those in all these popular hotel. Some of them insisted that they will keep on coming here because of food as far as you are here
EVELYN: really **happy** i learnt that from my mum, she was a very good cook

ME: yeah! She must be and would have transferred that gene to you. But i think that you will be a more better cook than her now though i have never tasted her food

EVELYN: really? **happy and smiling**

ME: and hope you will have to teach me, i wish to be a better cook, though i tried

EVELYN: that will be when you become okay, i will teach you as far as you will always give me a kiss **she said and winked**

Her request was just the best thing for me as her kiss was the best that i ever had. I always think about kissing her but don’t want to do it so that she will not think that i was beginning to give in to her, though it hurt me to see the one i love drift away into the oblivion just because of the stupid thing they called age difference
