I told my friends about how it all happened and was surprised when they told me that i tried rather than mocking me. They actually advised me to let her go but take any chance if she visits me again. And for Tracy, we later reconciled again but the relationship was not as strong as before
When we got to SSS3 three, i was given the head boy of the school while Frank was my assistance. To the surprise of everybody, Tracy was given the post of head girl, maybe because of the influence of Andy as he was the leader of the panel, set up to chose the school prefects. Collins and Mike also have their own portfolio

There was a boy who lived beside the house of my uncle, he was in our class though we never relate except normal greetings. We became friend during this time and he was just cool and friend to be. He was given the labour prefect of the school and his name was Charles.

By this time i was becoming more promiscuous with girls, i wooed girls like nothing, though i did it with fun. Collins was now dating Becky (the girl that she wrote letter to the previous time that took the letter to the VC). He told me that the girl was the one that called him and wooed him; he said that he didn’t know how she got his number
Frank in the other side was yet to get a girlfriend. I was now the one the that woo girls for all my friends and they were over amaze on how i could be able to change overtime. I get to know that frank cannot woo a girl for himself because he lacked self confidence; he always feel that the girl is superior to him. And for Favour, she never agreed to date him, always insisting that they should keep to the previous agreement. As a result , he has to find another girl but unfortunately, his crush turned him down leaving him in sad mood for days.


Charles also has a black beauty girlfriend which i helped him to woo because he was too shy and he was lucky because the girl was the one that kept on disturbing him and even give him money more frequent
We never use our position as prefect to force any girl into any relationship though.

It was one Monday morning, we were directing the junior students to their various duties that early morning when i overheard three boys discussing about something that caught my attention, so i have to stylishly slow my movement in order to get the clear discussion but they never noticed that i was in front of them as they continued their discussion
1ST BOY: so are you trying to tell me that you never heard what was going on in this school? **he asked a boy in their midst who was fairer than all of them**

2ND BOY: i never heard anything oo **he replied** please tell me now **he begged**
1ST BOY: let him tell you **he referred to the third boy**
3RD BOY: the head boy was dating the head girl
2ND BOY: yes, i know that, everybody in this school know about that now
What! That everybody knew about us. I never know about it, i was quite surprised, but people could spread news in this school” i thought
3RD BOY: that is not all, the girl was also having affair with Andy and he was a best friend to the head boy. They say that, that was why he decided to give her the head girl of the school
2ND BOY: what? That is very bad; dating two friends, that will definitely bring about problem to both of them
I couldn’t believe what i was hearing. I know that she was always with him but i never thought that they will be something going on between them because he knew that she was my girl friend. And moreover, she get to know him through me” i thought.

I turn to look at the boys and they were frightened as they discovered that i heard what they were discussing, they were damned scared but i reassured them with a smile and made my way to class where i met Tracy putting on her white socks
TRACY: good morning **she greeted as she raised her head up**
ME: what is going on between you and Andy **i don’t see any reason replying her greeting**
TRACY: nothing **she bluntly replied without stopping what she was doing**
ME: nothing?
TRACY: i said nothing or do you want me to admit to what i didn’t do **she busted**
I was not just surprised but astonished. I couldn’t believe that it was her that was talking to me
ME: i think you have lost your manners?
TRACY: no, because it is you that have lost your manners. How could you just walk up to me and began to ask me if i am having a relationship with your friend. How do you even see me, a prostitute or what? You are now always on my nerves in this relationship; if you listen to what people say, then that is less for you, they are always trying to course problem between us. Better refuse to acknowledge whatever you heard about me. And for Andy, there is nothing between us, we are just friends and i am going to ask him if he tell anybody that i am his girlfriend. **he said as she walked out of the class**
There is nothing person will not see” i amused. The girl was now acting as if she was the one in control. I gave her anything she wants despite the fact that she never visited me except once; on the previous occasion. And she was here forming irritated.

Well it never ended just like that. The following Monday, we were all gathered during the assembly when Mr Andy walked to the podium, i wondered what he want to say because since he announced the names of prefect and their portfolio at the beginning of the term, he has never made any announcement. Though the worst happened
ANDY: my presence here maybe a big surprise to most of you but i want to assure you all that my presence here is also of a great importance to you, myself, and the school at large. As i told you during the announcement of prefect portfolios the other time that some portfolios could be changed for better reason, i hereby announced to you that the post of head boy has been changed. The assistant head boy is now the head boy while the head boy is the assistant. So could you please clamp for your new head boy?

I don’t know what to do, anger was building in me. The student refused to clamp rather, they were busy murmuring while some stubborn ones where busy booing the teacher that he has to leave the podium immediately. The rest of the staffs were over surprised, i looked at Tracy and saw that she was too regretful, frank was standing at my back and he hold me from behind and motioned me for us to get out of the assembly. We left school from the assemble and went to a nearby bar; that was my first time of visiting a bar. We searched for cool place and sat down
FRANK: don’t worry, i won’t accept the post **he truthfully said**
I looked at him and saw all seriousness in his face. I couldn’t believe that he could make such a promise. I smiled as i realized that i had a good friend. My sadness disappeared as a sudden wave of joy and happiness overshadowed me.


ME: don’t worry man. What belongs to you is mine and mine is yours. You have to accept it for my sake; you made me realize that you are a true friend. I am no longer sad but over happy **i said as i pat his back**

The surprise on his face was just too much, he opened his mouth to speak but nothing was coming out, he stared at me in amusement, but i smiled at him as i stood up and walk up to the bar tender. I returned with two plates of meat, a bottle water and a bottle of malt. I drop the malt and a plate of meat for him while i helped myself with the bottle water and a plate of meat.

FRANK: there is something about you that i don’t understand **he said with confusion visibly written on his face**
ME: What?
FRANK: you get angry over a little thing but you never get angry in a situation where you are supposed to be angry. I don’t understand
ME: **Smiled** you won’t understand but let me tell you this; me been angry with you or any of the guys is just intentional, i mean, i know why i do it. I don’t mean to hurt any of you, i want us to remain the best of friend but guys have their own different ways that you can’t trust them with secrets and that pissed me off. Nothing is worth been angry for
FRANK: you always speak with great knowledge; you are a real genius
ME: but not when i couldn’t get what i want from girls but end up been played
I joked as we laughed ourselves out
ME: but did you know that it was because of Tracy that the man did what he did?
FRANK: i knew. With how things was getting along between both of them, i knew that he must do something to you but i didn’t expect him to take it that far

We returned to school after chilling and discussing about a lot of things. On our way to class i told frank that he should keep going to class that i wants to see somebody in the staff room. I bagged into Andy’s office and he was surprised to see me like that. The man was d--n frightened while i smiled at him. I stared at him for sometime before dashing out of his office; that marked the last time i visited his office or talked to him.
On my way out of the building i bumped into Evelyn and she smiled immediately our face met but her smile died immediately she saw the horror in my face. Maybe she was not present during the assembly, she motioned me to follow her while i obliged without thinking twice
We walked into her office and she asked me what the problem was and i explained everything to her. She became very sad immediately i finished and promised to do what she can to restore my portfolio but i told her not to bother but she insisted that she will still do it before i returned to the class.
I looked at Tracy immediately i entered the class and she was crying. The cry was just nothing to me as i termed it as mockery cry. I walked to my seat while guys came to console me but they were also surprised when they saw me laughing, i never felt that anything happened. We joked and laugh till getting to school dismissal hour.

I was arranging my books when Tracy walked up to me and started to say many things that i don’t care to listen. When her presence was turning into disturbance, Charles shouted at her leave but she refused which granted her very ferocious slap from the dude, the slap sounded thunderously that the noise in the class subsided. She holds her cheek as tears rolled down her eyes. The mark of Charles hand was very visible on her cheek as blood formed along the lines.

We didn’t utter anything to her as we picked up our bag and left the class. Though the school has not dismissed, we walked out of the school compound and headed home

A good friend is more better, trustworthy than a brother or sister but a good friend is hard to find. If you find one, better treat them like your boo to avoid story that touches
