Doctor mike was tired of convincing Sophie to eat, the poor girl had constantly starved herself refusing food and water.

you can’t continue treatment without food, you leave me with no choice than to do this.He stood up and left. It’s been her third day in the hospital, she wanted to die of hunger atleast but the death wasnt coming she was becoming irritated.She hadn’t even seen her dad since the last time he spoke to her, whatever his reasons of not coming to see her was his own business for all she cares. She just couldn’t imagine Florence hadn’t paid her a visit, she hasn’t even seen Sandy.Does it mean everyone has developed hatred for me she said. She understood Phillip situation she knew her dad wont let him into the premises. Just then there was a knock on the door
come in she said. Doctor mike walked in, she couldn’t explained the kind of guilt she felt whenever she saw him, maybe because she hadn’t spoken to him even though he always asked her questions. This time he acted different, he sat on the only chair in the room.

He was upset with what Henry said when he told him Sophie hasn’t been eating.

She should kil herself if she wants to.that was his response.

Sophie; are you okay? *sophie had noticed his countenance and every part of her wanted to know why*

Doc Mike:Oh you finally talked.

Sophie felt free with him, he was a young doctor probably in his 20’s. she talked to him, she was surprised at her own self how she opened up freely to him.She told him everything that has happened. Doc mike talked to her and even consoled her to stop crying.

Dr Mike: please can you eat now*pleading with her with his eyes.

Sophie; on one condition

Dr Mike:anything

Sophie; can i borrow your phone? Please i want to talk to phillip

Dr mike: please i will give you tomorrow, or i will get you a phone.

Sophie ; why tomorrow?

Dr Mike; I left my phone at home, I was in hurry.

Sophie; ok thanks

Dr mike; so you will eat?

Sophie; yeah

Dr Mike; thanks.

Henry was at the door he heard their conversion, he had wanted to convince Sophie to eat. he walked away angrily.

The next morning doctor mike got Sophie a phone, he was all smiles expecially for the fact she was now free with him, just then his phone rang
meet my in my office immediately (the voice from the other line)
have i done anything wrong he questioned himself, Henry had never spoken to him in that manner.

Good morning sir
He handed over him a cheque

Doctor mike; have i done anything wrong?

Henry; that your salary, am paying you off, I don’t want your services anymore

Dr mike : please sir, if there is any mistake have made, am ready to make ammends.

Henry; stop questioning my oders and get out of my premises, don’t ever show yourself again.

Doctor mike made to his office where he cleared his desk and left. Working in H.s.P was a dream for him, he had love their competence though he graduated with a first class, he had just finished his masters.He rested his back on his car, he decided to cool off with some drinks.
