Lucien’s rage never ends until the reason for him getting angry in the first place gets sorted out. It’s likely that more bodies will be buried in the coming days and no one will be able to save the unfortunate souls. I am not safe either because when he gets bored of killing people who were never going to fight back ,he will surely come for me and I might not be able to hold my own. It is therefore very important that I find this strange man quickly. My task was easy as I knew he was in Yugard presently and we should be able to get there by night fall of the next day. I called for the best trackers and the fastest horses among the fleet and soon we were on our way.

The charade was a few metres away from the repulsive town filled with redundant fellows and the lowest scums of the Earth when I sensed something strange in the atmosphere.
Someone was using magic not of my signature and different from what I teach my followers, this magic was ancient and tells of the nature of the person. I should be able to see what the person’s gift is made of but for some reason I couldn’t, rather I was seeing the person’s nature which should mean that the person is actually dead, which of course makes no sense. Whoever was behind the mask of nature is quite smart but the longer he or she lingers in my hold, the faster the fellow’s magic yields to mine. I shrugged off the strange magic and focused on the task at hand as it seems I wasn’t the only one after the anomaly.

Soon, we arrived at the town and it didn’t take too much asking to find the dirty, filthy place someone of such glorious gift is residing.
We were told whom we were seek was sleeping, I couldn’t tell if they were saying the truth or they were scared of the drawn swords.
I was also skeptical too as the strange man’s gift seem to disappear but came back in full force moments later as the strange nature magic faded without trace. Without doubt, someone was actually after the strange man.
After tasking some of the soldiers to guard each of the entrances out of the inn, we went upstairs where we found a man with long hair
and a strange old woman arguing.
Immediately, they spotted us, the strange woman seemed to lose her mind and grabbed the young man with unsual strength as they both took to their heels but they didn’t go far as I stopped them with a barrier spell and then I witnessed the impossible…

I took an arrow and got close to the door , opening just slightly to see an old woman who looked like she will collapse any minute . I was surprised and immediately hid the arrow behind my back, although her eyes followed my every move .

“ What do you mean that my life is great danger.” I asked. She was about to answer my questions when strange looking men walked up the stairs raising swords and one strange, tall man in particular in a black robe which didn’t reveal much about his face apart from a big long nose pointing at us. The old woman panicked after seeing them and quickly grabbed my hand , sprinting off to wherever. But we didn’t go far as an invisible wall seem to stop us. I have never seen something like this before, could this be magic?
We turned around to see the men gaining on us. For some strange reason, the old woman threw something she got from her bag towards the men and as soon as it touched them , whatever she threw became tiny bugs that started eating into the men’s flesh. They cursed and scratched but the tiny bugs didn’t go away. The tall man didn’t seem affected by the bugs and stretch forth his arms as blue flames emerged from the palm of his hands which was both beautiful and horrific. He released the fire and instinctively , I pulled the horrified old woman behind me and receive the full blast of the flames . I closed my eyes as I expected to be burnt meat by now but I didn’t smell anything save for my smelly clothes.

I was surprised but the man wasn’t and tried to come after me with fists. I dodged his first punch and threw my fist at his manhood making him scream and move back. That was the break we needed as I and the old woman took to our heels. We used the back door to try and escape but we met resistance and the old woman did what she did the other time. We left the man in pains as I followed the old woman to a black, beautiful horse.

“ Get on it, we need to get to the border quickly. “ I didn’t have time to argue as the soldiers came out and embarked on their horses as they came after us. As I looked over me before we took off , I couldn’t help but wonder what I did to these nasty people who were after me and who most certainly killed my family.
