“a boat! Cool!” the boy said enthusiastically. Charon, Hades and Elyme laughed.

The boat filled with more passengers and then a loud horn blared. Those who were not able to fit on the boat waited on the edge of the port. Charon raised his hand and the boat began to move forward. The boy laughed and played with the crystal clear water as they sailed.

They reached the hall of judgment after a long while and Hades set the boy down. He held onto Hades as they walked towards the chambers. They sat on one of the numerous seats provided and waited for the boy’s name to be called.

When he was called, they went with him towards the stge. The judges smiled at him and they deliberated his afterlife.

“To Elysium!” the three judges announced.
The boy smiled and looked at Hades. In no time, they got teleported to the fields of Elysium. When the boy’s feet touched the ground, elyme saw everything change. The boy’s afterlife was taking root and that was where he would be spending his eternity.

The beautiful, white fields of Elysium faded away and it was replaced by green beautiful grass. One that was the best for a kid.

There were blue skies and the sun was shining brightly. Elyme squinted her eyes and saw a beautiful pink castle with many turrets in the distance.

The boy shouted with glee and he let go of Hades’ hands and ran towards the castle. The first thing that welcomed him was smart .It chased after him and he laughed and cuddled the dog closer to himself.

“Thank you Angel! Thank you princess, everything is as you promised” he squealed and ran to their arms to hug them tightly.
“We’ll come check on you later okay?” Elyme assured as she placed a soft kiss on his head. He laughed and waved at them before disappearing into his fairytale castle.

“Mission 1 completed! Ready to go to the next person?” Hades asked, smiling sheepishly.

Elyme wondered how he dealt with cases like this often without breaking down amidst everything.

A great warrior and deity he was.

Elyme grabbed his hand before he even offered it to her.”I’m ready”.
