“Who is Piri?” Elyme asked, confused. Hades rubbed his head with his fingers and chuckled. He had forgotten she wouldn’t be able to remember her past life.
“Never mind dear” He said and held her hand again.
“Well, are we going to see Tartarus an asphodel today?” elyme asked and smiled as she watched a family play with their dog happily.

Hades clenched his jaw and shook his head.
“We’re not going to Tartarus today or any other day. One of the reasons being that you cannot go by Cerberus or he’ll rip you to shreds and besides, Tartarus is a place of torment for wicked shades and you are not a shade so take that thought out of your pretty little head”
Elyme frowned and crossed her arms over her chest. Hades smiled and cuddled her closer to his chest to pet her.

They crossed the Acheron River to reach the asphodel fields and continued south to visit the place of judgments. The line of dead people waiting to be sentenced seemed to never end and since Elyme was going hungry, they decided to speed up their tour .They travelled down the Styx River and as they neared Tartarus, Elyme and Adriane hid behind Hades for the screams and wailings. They were heart wrenching and so horrible. Hades wrapped his arms around her waist and commanded Charon to speed his rowing.

The cloak man didn’t show his face and didn’t say a word. He simply held out a black bag for them to pay for his trip and nodded in respect as his king entered the ferry.

They finally returned to the castle and as the obsidian doors came into view. Elyme and Adriane let out content squeals. The day had been eventful. They were about entering into the castle when they saw Hermes and they stopped to greet him. Hades and Hermes zoned out, in what Hades explained was a conversation between other gods. They returned after what seemed like hours and together they walked into the grand castle.
“Tomorrow, I’ll show you how I perform my duties as the god of death” the god said, removing the rose flower he had tucked on her ear at the garden.
