Why is this ugly girl calling me? i said aloud and
hiss and i could
see Mercy laughing at me.

So girls are now ugly she
asked me
jokingly.

Yes now. Some people can even make an
ape to start feeling funky i said why she laughed out loud.

But
no be you
toast am? I was tipsy then and i liked her height
couple with this
silly nepa people dat don’t even give people light.

You won’t blame me now. Its your cross you better carry it
oooo she said
laughing.

You men eh can even see what has two
oranges at the
front you will just jump at it.

before i answered her.

Mercy: i don’t mean you should like men but no be
everything
wey wear skirt person dey chase.

Me: i have choice. i said to her.

Mercy: choice eh? How come you are now running for linda? No
be you toast am?

Me: see its because i was high and also i don’t even
have a girl
friend.

Mercy: men and lies shall. You don’t have a girl friend. i don’t
believe you jor.

Me: wait why will i lie to you eh? Am serious i don’t
have a girl
friend

While we were chatting, a call came in, it was her elder sister so
she excused herself and went to her room to receive
the call. i
just kept thinking why is this lady suddenly talking
to me? Why
does she even laugh at my jokes.

Then the incident of her sister
played backed in my memory.

When the lady said
something
about the pregnant lady, i knew its was her.
Immediately, i
activated my prayer mood. i was scared, i didn’t even know what
to think again. We made inquiry or where they had
gone to and
we were told that they have been rushed to a
general hospital.

Quickly we headed for the place.

When we got there, we were
directed to the emergency ward.

I have a phobia for blood and directing me to such
ward could
trigger one action which is involuntary.

We rushed
there and immediately i entered i was about to vomit, but i had
to be a
man.

She had been taken into the theatre to under-
go a surgery.
i could not even fathom the velocity of the injury but
i saw some horrible ones, that i almost cried. i saw my uncle
sitting with a
boxer, and i handed him his trouser. *make God no
let us see
bad thing because at that stage, he was even
comfortable with only his d*ck* i had asked him what happened.

He
pointed at a
man and said that was the person that cause the
accident.
i felt like killing him but i couldn’t because, what i
even saw was the damage of a young girl’s leg.

The man kept
fanning the girls
leg. i asked my uncle what happened, he told me
that the lady’s
left leg tendon ligament has been broken. i could not
cry, i could not think, i could not just understand how grievous
such accident
could have been.

Na molowe jam them abi wetin?

How come! i
asked him. Then he told me its was impatience,
disobedient and carelessness that had caused this incident.

The
lady he was fan
was apparently in a state of limbo by now.

He had
simply
shattered the lady’s life except a miracle happens.
i went outside to gapes some air because, i wasn’t comfortable
in there again. i felt like fainting and i knew if i had
stayed
sometime longer, i will be the one that would be
taken to the
emergency room. i searched for a place to sit down and reason
out things.

Why reasoning, where i sat? Another
case was
quickly rushed to the place, the incident that day
changed my
perception about people.

The incident that day made me knew
that life was nothing.

The incident that day made me
adopted the
saying of solomon’s Vanity upon Vanity all is vanity.
