Ambrose POV

I took her by the arm when she was done, she looked beautiful in her new dress and make up. She glowed in smiles and I felt fulfilled. That was exactly what I wanted, her smiles.
“This is so sweet of you baby” She exclaimed immediately we stepped into the hall. The party was strictly on invitation and we invited just hundred important people.
I saw my mom on the special table and I smiled, I haven’t seen her since my wedding, I was too busy with my amazing wife.

I and Haira took our sits, I made sure I kissed her every time i could, Bobby and her dad were present Fiks came too and i noticed this strange lady next to him. It’s unlike Fiks bringing his prostitutes to social outings.
When I had the opportunity to speak, i went down on my kneels in front of her, i was short of words so I just cried. I buried my head in her laps and wept, she has been so amazing, I know i found her and married her when every one least expected, a spang of little guilt ran across me, i felt crazy for marrying Hanna’s twin sister. Neither less, I was so appreciative to have her as my wife.

The crowd roared at my emotional tears, I lifted my head slightly and looked at her, she was trying not to ruin her make up with the tears that formed cloud in her eyes. Holding the microphone close to my mouth, I whispered “I love you” into it. The crowd roared louder, she finally couldn’t hold back her tears, they flowed and i pulled out a white handkerchief for her.

Taking her in my hand, I spoke facing her “I know i shouldn’t have anything to do with you because your sister was my ex, i found joy in you, the type any lady haven’t given me in past times, Beatrice I admire your strength, the ability to keep us going even when it seems there’s no hope. I am taking a second vow today, i promise never to leave you. You are a wife, the sister I never had, my soulmate, my gist mate, You have been the reasons for my smile, I don’t know for any other person, but to me, you are the best woman on earth. I want all my daughters to be like you”

We hugged passionately after the short speech, i have a reminder of everything she had done to better my life in the past, all the sweet words we have said to each other, how she bravely broke into Mr Micheal’s house and got all of us out. I just couldn’t think of them all, she was such a darling.

People had gifts for her, they ate, drank, prayed and wished us well. She was asked to give her own speech and appreciate everyone at the end of the program. She stepped forward in her black high neck heels and spoke in her sweet voice as usual.
“I wasn’t expecting a party as big as this, but this guy over here” She pointed at me smiling “He has his own ways of doing things, I appreciate everyone that honoured his call and made my day memorable, you all have beautiful souls. My dad, Phillip you are a darling even though you abandon me into Ambrose’s hands I am not upset” The crowded laughed noisily and she continued “Mom and Hanna, I know you aren’t here but my words would definitely reach you, I am sorry. It just had to happen, I found love in him and it was hard to let my happiness down the drain. Eugene, I am glad you are here, I have had two birthdays without hearing from you, now i am so excited to have you wish me a happy birthday this year. My dearest mother in law, I am taking care of your golden boy don’t worry, he wouldn’t go lean I promise” She caused everyone to laugh again including me. She turned to me and smiled “Mr Ford, you are full of live. I can’t have enough of you, thank you”

I took the microphone to speak, I had something important to say “For the past few days now, news have been flying that my wife is a murder, we don’t want to talk about it yet, we urge the press to let the sleeping dog lie or I would have to sue anyone whom paints my wife black all in the name of being a journalist or blogger” I said.
25 days isn’t long but a lot had happened since our arrivals, Donatus have been sentenced to one year imprisonment plus he had to pay us a lot of money. Somehow, everything got to the Nigerian press table and we haven’t had good sleep ever since. Since Micheal was a popular business person, everyone knew why he was in custody and he claimed Haira killed Sassy for no reason. I and my wife aren’t ready to address that anyways, we have a lot of plans and we would talk about our South Africa experience in the future.
