Kay wants us to get wedded on the 14th of December. He doesn’t want a church wedding either, his reasons aren’t really good but I care less. Court or Church, wedding is wedding.

I was bored and decided to visit Laura in her shop, she jumped at me immediately she saw me. She brought two chairs and positioned them in front of her counter.
“Wifey, remain us, single hood can kill someone uhmm” She said folding her arms.
“I am just getting married to Kay for the sake of marriage, though I love him but not as much as I love my ex, I am trying my best to get over him though” I said yawning.
“Which of your exes? Ambrose?” She asked and I nodded.

“Ambrose, Ambrose, Ambrose all the time. This dude married your twin sister oo, you better forget him” She hissed, she hate to hear this name ever since I told her what transpired between us.

“I burnt everything that reminds me of him, I know I would get over him soon” I said trying to smile.

“Mtcheeew, that sister of yours is a betrayal and needs to be taught a lesson” She hissed.
“It’s in the past now, he’s happy, she’s happy and I think I need to be happy too”
“Uhmmm, that Kayode of a guy, he looks like I have met him somewhere before” She said with her thumb on her jaw.

“Where?” I asked leaning forward on my plastic chair.

“I don’t know………….. But I don’t trust him even that his mother she looks like a woman like that, she sells hot gin in the ghetto” She said and I laughed.
“You might be right, his mom stays in the ghetto but I don’t know what she does for a living”

“Hanna, I am not convinced. Kayode looks like a fraudster, do you give him money?” She asked giving rise to my anger.
“Ha, sorry oo” She apologized when she saw my red eyes.

“I know you think he’s some kind of cheap cheating guy but he’s not, he might be from the ghetto but ghetto doesn’t live in him” I yelled and she nodded raising her left hand up so I would hold my peace.

We maintained silence until a young slender guy walked in, he wore a blue fitted suit and a dark eye lens. He’s the real definition of an African man with the type of tinted black and polished skin he possessed.

“Laura, Laura” he hailed Laura has he stepped in adjusting his suit.
“Anthony, now that you are here, I know today is a good day” Laura jumped up her seat and ran into his arm.
“Are my stuffs parked?” he said as he walked towards the counter with Laura by his side.

“Emmmm, sorry I wasn’t able to get that ring oo” Laura said apologetically and he frowned.

“Gosh, I need to present them to Emelda now, her birthday is in three days” He said biting his lower lip.

“Anthony, what’s your problem with this girl ehn? Let her go now, if you need a lady see me here abi i no follow for fine girls?” Laura said grinning.

“Pack the chain, Amebo” he returned the grin and sat on the empty plastic chair next to me.

“Anthony Stanley” He stretched his hand towards me and i took it “Hanna Ima”
He held my hand for a while and asked “Is Haira the music star your sister?”
“My twin sister, yes!” I said withdrawal my hand from his grip.

“Wawww, she’s my favorite. Nice meeting you” he took my hand again holding it tight and i felt embarrassed.

“Anthony, she’s taken. Oya take your package and pay me” Laura screamed over the counter and he laughed before walking up to the counter.

“6.4million naira” Laura calculated and my eyes bulged, he’s buying a Gold worth that amount on a go? waw.

He took the brown envelope with him and left the shop while Laura followed. Few minutes later she returned with a plastic bag containing 6.4million Naira.

“That boy ehn, he’s my regular customer. he bought the gold for a woman oo” Laura said counting her money.
“Boy?” I looked at her with a confused face, I wondered why she would call an adult a boy.

“Na small boy now, he’s just 30”
