?Hanna POV

?
5 days later.

Amos is violent, he hit me over little things. he have me where ever he wants to. I thought I was really crazy or is it that I have finally changed? I find myself shivering at the sight of Amos, I couldn’t even do everything I use to do to Ambrose’s property when i get upset.

Since he met Jerry, he showed me he wasn’t as nice as I thought. That night at the hotel, he used me until I fainted. I woke up in a clinic the next morning and he started pleading. He bought me the car he promised just yesterday, mom saw bruises all over me and she has been pestering me to tell her what happened.

I can’t deal, I feel nothing for Amos. In the last five days, all he did was to have me in the car, toilet or anywhere at all as long as there is a little privacy. I miss Ambrose so much and now i understand he was a good man. I now know his worth and how much shit he endured loving me. I wondered if Amos would spare me if he were to be in Ambrose’s shoe.

Since there was no customer on ground, I sat at on the sliver chair at the extreme end of the room. I watch Kay walking up to me with a big smile. He dragged a chair with him as he made himself comfortable on front of me.
“Hey” he greeted.

“Hi” I answered wipping off the tears that formed a thick cloud in my eyes.
“Are you crying?” he took my hand away from my face and tried putting my face in his arm but i quickly yank his hands off. My face hurts, all thanks to Amos.
“Now that you have a car, you wouldn’t have to fall off motorcycle” he said smiling. Actually, I kept telling them I fell off a motorcycle I boarded to the salon.
“You are right” I grinned.
“It’s lunch time, what are you having?” he stood up and stretched.
“Am fine, not hungry” I told him but he shook his head.

“Have lunch with me, maybe you would get this mood off” he dragged me out of the chair and lead me outside the shop.
At the restaurant, we chatted noisily and he asked if I was dating. I choke on my chilled water and I smiled. Amos has warned me to keep my mouth shut concerning us and am not even ready to let it out to anyone.
“Are you dating Amos?” he suddenly asked and I rolled my eyes uncomfortably.
“No” I snapped before having my food squarely.

“Yes you are, you fell down from no damm motorcycle, he hit you” Kay said and my eyes widened.

“How….. How…..Do you know?” I stammered.
“He beat his ex wife to comma, she under go a brain surgery and remained hospitalized for six months, I have been working with him for five years now, he wasn’t even married then”

.My jaw dropped, my lips parted and I couldn’t control my eyes that threaten to fall off their socket. I dropped my head in my palm and cried, I am doomed.
“I would advice you let him go, forget about the goodies he promise to buy, he bought his ex wife the world too but almost killed her because he thought she is promiscuous” he said patting my laps and I looked at him with a teary eyes.

“My father is Phillip Ima” I announced and his spoon went crashing.
“Phillip who?” his eyes shot out.
“I stayed on a low key for some reasons, my past relationship has left me in serious trouble. I came to the salon to start afresh. The car he bought me is way smaller to what I can buy for every staff in the salon”
“Jesus Christ” he exclaimed.

?Haira POV?

“Ambrose now” I paced up and down the lonely road.

He hasn’t answered my calls since the online sex Saga, I am dead worried and decided to return two days before the end of my visit. I missed my husband.
Reaching the Lagos airport, I called him to come pick me up but he wouldn’t answer my calls so I took a cab. Little did I know it was one of those rumoured one chance. The driver took away my purse and left me on a lonely street. Somewhere I don’t even know. He said he would have pulled a trigger in my head if i wasn’t a popular celebrity. So he knew who I was and still robbed me of my money? Well he was nice enough to leave me with my travelling box and my phone. I kept calling Ambrose to rescue me but he won’t even pick up. I quickly sent a text when it dawned on me he might read that.
I was still waiting when a car glimmer head light shone on my face. In my fearful state, I panicked and quickly dashed into the nearby bush for protection. The car came to an halt where I stood previously and someone alighted screaming my name.
“Haira it me” the masculine figure screamed into the bush.
I was sure it’s not Ambrose, so who the f--k bears it’s me?

“You who?” I asked hugging myself inside the dark cold thick bush.
“Fiks, Ambrose’s friend” he said and I quickly registered his voice in my head. Yeah it was him. I dashed out of the bush pulling my bag with me and he quickly got me into the car. he had to turn off the AC because I was shivering already due to the cold that accumulated in my body on the road.
“What are you doing here so late at night? Where’s Ambrose?” he asked giving me his shirt and leaving his chest open.
“I haven’t heard from him for days now” I said as I wore the shirt over my body.
“Why? How?” he asked as he ignited the car and drove off.

“Sex” I murmured shyly
“Sex what?” he frowned, he seems confused.

“Video sex, sex chat, I can’t do it, it’s against the Bible’s wish right?” I turned to look at him but surprised to see him chuckling.
“What’s funny?” I asked.
“Look, give your husband the best of everything. Sex chat or whatever, as long as you do that with only Ambrose, it’s no big deal. The scripture hasn’t forbidden that anyways” he said.

“Ambrose is a freak, must we do it if I don’t want it that way?” I protested.
“Buy books, read books, explore styles, you have a very good man sincerely and the Ambrose I know can be childish when he’s in love. If he hasn’t bothered to hear from you for days now, i think you have really crossed your boundaries. You should know how to calm him down tonight” he winked and I laughed.

“So what are you doing here?” I asked changing the topic.
“This place has one of the world secret strip clubs and hidden hotels, I come here to ease myself now or what would a bachelor do now?” he laughed and i joined too.
“Fiks, Fiks” I hailed.
It started pouring heavily and I soon drifted off in the car.

?Ambrose POV

?
I was seeing football when I heard my gate cracked noisily. Who is this gateman opening my gate for so late at night? I shifted my curtain a bit and saw Fiks alighting the car shirtless. I quickly switch off the light on the sitting room so he won’t notice I was peeping. He turned around under the heavy rain and carried Haira out of the car. I boiled. This idiot again? He’s now flirting with Haira too? He even has the effrontery to carry her like a baby to our matrimonial house?
I angrily watch the whole scene, after dropping her at the door, he went for her box and finally drove out.

The door cracked and she came in, I don’t know what she was up to but she tiptoed pass me in the dark and I caught her unexpectedly by switching on the light. She froze, she was already close to the staircase leading to the rooms and I was standing next to the entrance door, our back facing themselves.
“Where are you coming from?” I turned my head slightly, my hand still on the control switch.

“Abuja” She responded before climbing up the stairs. I followed.

“Who the f--k brought you home so late at night?” I watched as she packed her hair in it net.

“Fiks”
“You have been with him for the past one week right?” I said sitting calmly on the edge of the bed, I felt anger boiling in my blood.

“Are you trying to insult me? Do I look like a w---e?” She yell as she got off an oversized male shirt

“Look at this? A male shirt? Haira do I say it to your face now? You are a w---e!” I took the shirt from her and screamed into her face.
She broke down crying and hitting my chest with her feminine hands.

“I called you, I texted you, you left me to die in a lonely place in the hands of money thieves and serial killers, your friend rescued me and you thought I am a w---e?” She cried before dashing into the bathroom.
I have been ignoring her calls for days but I don’t think I received any call or text from her of recent. I threw the shirt down and searched the room for my phone. it wasn’t there, I ran down to the sitting room, it still was missing then I checked the study room, there it was, laying under a British book.
43 missed calls, 2 new messages all from soul mate.

“F--k!” I hit my leg against the chair when I saw what the message said and the danger my wife might have been as at the time she sent it.
