Dial - Season 1 - Episode 16

It was a three-lane street, and so the car on the inner lane stopped, and then another car stopped in the middle lane. There was a car approaching from far off in the outer lane, and so the policewoman went to the outer lane and raised her hand to stop the car.

Pedestrians began to cross the road in front of the stopped cars…and that was when I saw Akosua b0s0mba of Wowo for the first time.

She was wearing a brown khaki uniform; the type some nurses wore. She was crossing the road, and she was so stunning that I fixed my gaze on her and whistled silently.

She was not tall, and neither was she short. That girl wasn’t big, and she wasn’t skinny either. Now that should have summed up a pretty nondescript appearance, but no, this girl was a mega-bomb. She was curved out like the goddess of love, and her face was chiselled by a master craftsman.

She was not only fair, but she glowed!

A perfect stranger, but she slammed into my heart and remained there! My mind worked furiously as I sought out ways to get her attention, even for a second.

I wound down my window and reached for one of my complimentary cards.

And that was when it happened!
The car in the outer lane kept on coming!

The policewoman’s hand was raised, indicating that the car should stop, but it didn’t! Maybe the driver was thinking of something else, or he was tired, or he was half-asleep…it might have been a myriad of reasons, but cutting line was, he kept gunning that accelerator!

The beautiful girl was now past the policewoman, and she was crossing the outer lane. She had earphones in her ears, and so she probably didn’t see that car hurtling toward them in time!

The policewoman, now aware that the driver didn’t mean to stop, began running out of the outer lane for her dear life!

The beautiful girl saw the danger she was in, and she took to her heels with sudden fright!
That was when the driver of the car – which I now saw was a Picanto – saw the grave danger he was causing! Out of desperation he swung the wheel, and now the car was hurtling dangerously out of control, and bearing down on the running girl!

People were screaming, and my heart was thudding with sudden fear!

The girl cut to the side of the road, and the car veered in the same direction, and suddenly the girl just collapsed on the ground, out of sheer fright!

The Picanto would have ran over her and mashed her up, but suddenly it came up against a pillar in the pavement with nasty shearing sound, and the car came to a halt.
