PREVIOUSLY ON ME AND ABIMBOLA

Me: ( hugged each other) what kept you so long.


Elizabeth: traffic.. You know Lagos and its traffic problem.

Me: I thought as much. So where have you been since all these days.


Elizabeth: a lot has happened after we got separated.

Me: (flabbergasted) what the hell are you talking about?


Ttech: we need to leave now, we don’t have enough time.


Me: hey slow down, they guards are outside, if move an inch here, we are dead meat.

We got to Oshidi around 6:07pm. I looked at everyone inside the car. Their faces was full of joy and happiness.


Me:( glancing on the people hulking under Oshidi bridge) yeah, they deserved to be happy.


AY: ( from the back seat) rely, please I wanna go to toilet.

THE EVOLUTION EPISODE 8

Me:(phone ringing) hello..who is this?


Caller: rely what happened, you never called me and your phone has been switched off for some days now.. What’s going on.


Me: (recognized the voice) am so sorry BB.. I lost my phone, so I just got a new one and retrieve my line..


Bblondon: you should have used someone’s phone to call me and let me know!


Me: ( if only you knew what I have passed through, you wont say thrash) am sorry dear.. So how are you?


Bblondon: how do you expect me to be fine! rely I wanna see you. Is urgent.


Me: (God what is she up to again) where and when?


Bblondon: come to my house at ojota


Me: ( house)what about your husband?


Bblondon: he won’t be around. He will be going out early in the morning.. Can you make it tomorrow by 11:00pm?


Me: why are you so desperate Bb, what’s going on.


Bblondon: please baby, I know you will love what am gonna discuss with you..


Me: ( baby!! Hmm, is always a bad signal when you call me that) OK, I will be in your domicile by tomorrow..


Bblondon: thanks baby, I love you.


Me: thanks


Bblondon: can’t you say it back


Me: ( dam) Bb stop it…


Me:( talking to my self after the call) If Bblondon didn’t kill me, I’m very sure, no other girl on this planet will..


I was so so happy that God saved us from Desmond and his so called group. It has been five days we came back. I have called my uncle and some of my relative. Ttech parents wanna hold a party to celebrate the coming back of their son. I think it worth it.

I haven’t heard from Abimbola since I came back. I knew she will be mad at me. Anyway that wasn’t my concern now since Stella is alive and happy for me, am OK. The only problem am gonna have now is missing her. She is going to meet her father abroad in two weeks time and am gonna miss her a lot.


Me: ( phone ringing) hello who is this?


Caller: bro is me.


Me: AY, is this your new line?


AY: yeah, where are you?


Me: at home


AY: OK we are coming..hope there is food?


Me: yeah, i have okra soup and semolina..


Ttech: ( from background) correct boy..


Me: weray boy, you no well…

Immediately the call ended, I went straight to the kitchen to prepare semolina for my two brothers. Yeah, they are more than friends to me. I was still thinking on how to reach Abimbola on phone because I lost her cell phone number on my lost sim card. I concluded going to her place once Ttech and AY left my place. After preparing, I was about putting the semolina on the plate when I heard a knock on the door.


Me:( from upstairs) who is that?


Ttech:( expressing some joking act) open this door now or else I will break it.

AY: mad man, you nearly die for Desmond hand ooo.. Nah now you get mouth.. If Desmond show face for here now, you go pick race.

Ttech: taah, nothing dey happen, who is Desmond?. Shey Desmond nah person name or nah dog name.


Me:(opened the door then exchange hug) AY no mind this guy joor, nah only mouth he get.

We all went upstair together to have our meal. I was eating my meal but the thought of Stella was still roaming on my mind. I thought of what missing her will look like. I promised my self not to do anything again with any other girl. Is gonna be hard to keep the promise when Abimbola and Bblondon is still present in my life. Anyway, I have to try my best to keep the promise.


Me: Stella is traveling to Europe next two weeks.


Ttech: ( talking with a ball of semolina on his mouth) what did you just say?


AY:(staring at me) silent and surprised


Ttech: is it because of what happened? Did her father no about it?


Me: no he didn’t. He just sent for her. Remember she is the only child. Maybe he is missing his daughter.



AY: our wife. This is not good at all
Ttech and AY didn’t like the news. They probably prefer Stella to Abimbola, But they can’t do anything about it. She have to go. We were still downsizing our food when we heard a knock on the door.



Ttech: are you expecting anybody?


Me: …mmm no, am not. Excuse me.

I went downstairs to check who was on the door. I was astonished to find the same person I was thinking on how to see. It was Abimbola.



Me:(trying to hug her) wow baby you look so….

Abimbola: ( cut in with an aggressive manner) who is your baby. You left me for how many days without calling rely, what did I do to you?

Me: silent


Abimbola: I called you all day but you never picked up my call. All you do was to switch off your cell phone.


Me: silent and surprised at the rate of annoyance she was displaying


Abimbola: I love you so much rely, but I can’t keep letting you deceive me. It won’t work between us anymore rely. You are seeing another girl which am sure about. If not you would have called me since all this days.



Me: ( trying to hold her) see baby I was kidna….


Abimbola: ( cut me off) don’t dare touch me. You are a bloody player. God will purnish you rely.. You played with my heart. I loved you. I gave you my self and all you can give back to me is heartbrake..



Me: ( surprised at her words) Abimbola you no I love you and you will always be my number one..


Abimbola: can you hear your self..”always be number one”. That means there is plenty of them out there. See rely, I’m Calling it a quite.

Me:( dam it, why did I say number one) you wanna broke up?


Abimbola: I don’t want to, I have already broke up. Good bye rely.


Me: ( feeling so emotional suddenly) can I get at least last hug please?


Abimbola: ( came back and hug me, then stare at me for some seconds before finding her way out)

I watched her as she moved out of the compound without looking back. I felt so bad that I finally lost my Abimbola. It wasn’t my fault. She never allowed me to say a word. I loved her but that doesn’t matter now. Gonna miss her for ever. Abimbola is gone, Stella is preparing to go, I don’t know what Bblondon is planing to do. I think is time to cut everything between Bblondon and i and let Stella no that she is the only one in my life.

After talking to my self for some seconds, I went upstairs to meet my master planners.


Me: that was Abimbola


Ttech: you don’t need to tell us. We already know. AY please tell him.


AY: see bro, I think is high time we let all this girls stuff go. Since we started all this girls stuff, nothing seems to be going well, from one problem to the other. Imaging you were sacked from the company because of blessing. We no longer read our books. We only talk about bleeping all the time. I want to…


Me:( phone ringing) am sorry, let me check who is calling.

I went to my room to take my phone and pick the call, unfortunately, before I got there the call has ended. I opened my phone to check who the caller was. I was about opening my dialer when I saw a message envelop on my status bar. I decided to open the message before checking who the caller was.



I opened my inbox, I was shocked on the kind of message I saw.



Message: “open your Facebook and check your chats.”


Me: (whispering to my self) what kind of message is this?

I was so anxious to see what was on my chat. I log in on my Facebook account only to find five dead body pictures sent by unknown person. I was so scared immediately I saw the pictures which made me to shout so loud.

The shouting made Ttech and AY to rush into my room.



Ttech: rely what happened?


Me: silent and staring at them..


AY: rely talk to us nah please…


Me: silent


Ttech: bro what is it, why did you shout like that. I no that it wasn’t just ordinary.


Me: (tears running down my chicks)


Ttech: this is serious, rely please tell me, what is it.


Me: bukola is dead!


Ttech: ( collected the phone from me)


AY: bukola that just saved us few days ago.


Me:( with tears) yes. Desmond and his gang has killed her. She died because of us. She sacrificed her life because of d--k head like us. She died so we can live. God, bulky is dead..


Ttech: ( trying to hold his tears) have you checked the number that just called you?


Me: no let me check.

I opened my dialer and found out that it was the same number that send me the message that was also calling me…


Ttech: God, how did they get your number?


Me: I don’t no. Beside this is my new line. The line that I just bought.

We was still shading tears for bukola and also imaging how they come across my line when we heard a knock on the door.



AY: who is that?
