The hilux van drove off at top speed and once again I was in deep s--t.

My travel the next day was in big jeopardy and late arrival to the military school meant I could be starting my military training with punishment.

My heart skipped several beats as I struggled to maintain a regular breath rhythm.

The policemen drove us to the station and ordered all of us to come down.

They ordered the prostitutes to stand by the left and commanded me to stand by the right.

Then they marched the girls into one small room with little furniture where they most likely were going to fk the living hell out of their pu$$ie$.

I was ordered to march into the station and sit behind the counter.


“Abeg my papa na military o,” I shouted at the officer dragging me into the station. ” My father is military,” I repeated in english.

“John abeg come o,” the officer called out to a colleague who drew nearer. “Dis one tok say im papa na military,” he informed the dude.


“Military?” The officer echoed. “Wetin army pikin com dey find for ashi joint?” He asked rhetorically.


“Oya call ur papa 4 phone shapaly make we follow am yarn,” they commanded.

I brought out my phone and dialled General Obianodo’s number. Luckily for me the call went through.

“Sir please I’m in police custody,” I informed as soon as he picked.

“Police custody?” The General echoed with surprise. “How come? When? Where? How? When? Where?” The man asked all at the same time. “Please give the phone to the officer there let me speak with him,” he instructed.

I handed the phone to the officer standing next to me and within 20seconds all I was hearing from the officer was “yes sir, ok sir, I hear u sir, I will do that sir, I’m sorry sir, I’ve heard u sir, it won’t happen again sir, we never knew sir, sorry sir” and so on and so forth.

I was a free man even before the officer ended the call.

“Abeg carry ur wahala dey go,” they said to me handing my phone back to me…
