I felt I had made the right choice…. At least for once…. I was going to be loved truly and faithfully….


Nolly being my number one made me set myself loose…. There was this feeling that made me believe I could do anything….
Our Saturday was a mere one ….

We gisted about everything and what we’ve missed out…. During the holidays…

I became a very confident person….

When the night came…. We went out to the club….

We smoked hell that day…. And drank a lot….after all, we’re missed each other for some time…

That night, I drove home drunk with Nolly my side… we’re only lucky to get home that day alive.

We slept in the parlor with the doors unlocked but closed….

Sunday morning came…


Nolly: Baby, wake up… we’ve to go to church…. *She yelled at me*

I woke up because I heard church, and was actually surprised someone was mentioning that word beside me.


Me: Church what? I’m not going anywhere….

Nolly: You can’t be a sinner all week long…. You need sometime for God Jide….

Me: Nolly, let me surprise you, when I was in Nigeria, I didn’t set my feet inside any forsaken church…. And look, I’m as okay as I’ve always been….

Nolly: Yes darling…. You’re even better than you were….. You get handsome by the day!

Me: What’re we having for breakfast baby?

Nolly: I prepared sandwich…. And yea, you said you were going to put me through all the Nigerian meals you eat…. I’m still waiting baby….


Me: Well Nolly, that’s for another day…. Right now….. I just want something to eat…..

Nolly: Is that all baby? Just food?


Me: Yea, Just food….. And you!
I jumped on my feet at once…. As she started running away….

In the small house…. We chased each other….

Nolly, even with her very curvy size is a very fast sprinter…. Being left handed…. I believed the myth about the lefties….

I was able to catch her in kitchen as we started kissing….

Right there, I carried her up on the kitchen cabinet …. As I brought her nightie up….

I inserted my J0yst!ck into her Kitty-Cat, as we both stared at each other…. Seductively…

With the little strength I had in me….i lost total control of myself….

I released almost everything I had inside me….



Nolly: Jide, with our rate…. I hope when we want babies….

Me: *I smiled.* No baby…. We can’t have any problem.

I helped her down the cabinet, as she went to the toaster to get the meal ready….

In about 10 minutes, breakfast was served….

After we had breakfast, Nolly compelled me to go to church…

Reluctantly, I followed suite…

It was the same church we went the last time…. And I had my last church service there…

Getting to the church….. as usual we’re late……

The church was filled up….

We were able to get two vacant spaces …..

During the service….. an altar call was made….

It was the first time I was experiencing such…… the pastor almost had me convinced….

After the service…. We greeted other members, and most especially, the usher who we had encounter with, the last time…

We made new friends …. And that was how we made the church ours….

Getting home… it wasn’t all lively…. As we all went to sleep after a very tiring day…

We both woke up in the evening…..

Me: Are you done with your registration?

Nolly: Yes, I’ve almost completed the whole thing….


Me: What is left?


Nolly: Nothing…. She yelled….


Me: I want to get mine done by tomorrow…

Nolly: I’ll help you with it don’t worry…..

Me: Thanks love….

Monday came, and it was the beginning of a new semester….

We left the house very early so as to prevent any traffic that might come our way…

On getting to school…. I went straight to the boys hostel….


Seun: Ah…. Jide you don forget person……

Me: No be so o, my brother….


Seun: When you land now?

Me: Na Friday…. How far? How una lives….

Tola: omo, we still dey for the zone wey you leave us o….

Me: se una no commot now….. wetin don happen?

Tola: Guy, come see something………

We left the room together….. on our way….

Seun: Brother, wey your load now?

Me: ehn ehn… na wetin I come yarn una…. I don move in with Nolly… we live together now…

Tola: Seriously… omo, you get luck…. Forget jealousy….

Me: Na so I see am o….

They led me out of the hostel…. And unto the large piece of un-fenced land beside our hostel….

Tola: Na they car wey we buy be that…

Me: Which car? You no tell me say you buy anything now… abi… I no understand…

Tola: You sabi say we no go house…. We don dey do runs… na why we no go…


Seun: Anyway…. Why we come show you na just to ask you if you dey interested or not…. No be say we need you bad bad like that…. But make we no fall our padi hand…. And no be naija we dey… we gaz make am together…. If you no want… no lele… just yarn us…

All I heard…. Was runs……

The little understanding I had about that word that time was “yahoo”

Me: Se no be yahoo una dey talk….


Seun: Guy no be yahoo…. Why you silly like this sef…. Se dem dey do yahoo for foreign land….


Tola: See seun, I don talk am say make we free this guy… Jide wake up now… or se na Nolly go dey buy everything for you…

Me: Okay… calm down… which kind business we dey do…

Tola: Na casino…

Me: Casino… me I no sabi bet jare… if na that one…

Seun: See this mugu… we no dey bet pase… we go dey do runs..

Me: which kind runs dem dey do for casino again…

Tola: We go dey do runs…. Collect money… we don get person for there… and na naija guy…. Also… we fit dey rob their strong room…. That one na the easiest thing…


Seun: Na so… and the casino no dey here…. Na JB e dey…

Me: JB to Pretoria… wetin una dey talk sef….

Seun: See, make I shalaye for you…. Your own be say you go dey do some computer runs…. The guy go help us get their password…. We go dey do our own game ourselves dey bet on them…. Na so…

Me: Ah… na just that one?

Tola: Yes now… wey you dey zoo zoo…..

Me: Ehn no wahala… make I go jam Nolly first… I go call una…

Seun: ehn , no wahala now…. We go see.
