Grace: I can see you are a weakling. Well get ready to die and rot in jail because when the headquarters found out that you misplaced the money, the police will be after you.
Pastor Amadi: God forbid.
Grace: which God? The same one who says heaven help those that help themselves? Stay their and be killing yourself thinking of an impossible solution when I have already provided a possible solution.
Pastor Amadi: but setting up Val won’t be easy you know. Where are my witness.
Grace: so that is what you need, witnesses. You shall have as many as you want so far there is money to pay them all.
Pastor Amadi: oh my God, thirteen million naira???
Grace: and honey, I want you to tell me how you were able to misplaced such a huge amount of money.
Pastor Amadi: I was driving to the bank when I saw one black SUV car behind me. Thinking I was in danger, I zoomed off not knowing that it was a police car on patrol. They also thought that I was a criminal due to the way I took off and the chased me. I was able to get close to another police station before jumping out of my car and ran to the police station forgetting to close the doors. The policemen that were after me also parked their cars as the rushed inside looking for me. They found me and that was when the truth of the matter was revealed that they were not criminals but police. Out of fear, I left the car doors opened as I ran out. It was when I returned that was when I saw that the money were missing.
Grace: hmm this your long story does not sound right to me oo. Well the did has been done. One should not spend time crying over spilt milk. We better think and act fast or else we stand the chance of loosing everything.
Pastor Amadi: anything you say dear, I am solidly behind you!!!

ONE WEEK LATER
Pastor Val walked inside his house with tears in his eyes. His wife and kid were still in the hospital.

Some days ago, the doctor confirmed that the baby in his wife womb was dead due to the situation of the mother.

They have the baby removed as quickly as possible to prevent it being decayed. Now that is not even the main matter.

He is coming from a meeting where the general overseer and other big pastors of GLORIOUS LIFE MINISTRY are accusing him of stealing the thirteen million naira that was meant for the church.

The treasurer Pastor Amadi Okeke was able to maneuver the situation in such a way that it looked as though pastor val stole the money because they have been close friends up till this day.

The secretary and accountant of the church were also witnesses of this false news. At the end, he lost his Job and was given a deadline of one week to pay the money or face the law.
Pastor Val: does God really exist?

He asked himself as he threw his bible to God knows where and slumped into a chair.
Pastor Val: I have been serving this same God for years but look at the way he abandons me. When I needed him most, where was he? Nowhere to be found. How can the God I serve allow an innocent girl to be battling with her life in the hospital? How can the God I have humbly serve all this years allow a pregnant woman to loose her baby and yet, she is still in the hospital with her kid. I claim to serve God but my Job and everything is gone for something I didn’t do. Who knows, maybe the rest of my life will be spent in jail. Does God truly exist?
Just then he heard a knock on the door.
