in the night, i couldn’t sleep but thought of the kind of life Ezekiel was living, the memory of what i saw was not going out of my mind; it was as if someone pasted the picture into my heart couple with all what Ezekiel explained. I didn’t come to term with the friends with benefits stuff as i was hearing the explanation for the first time, i later slept off with my thought.

Ismaeel called me later the following morning that it seems he wont be coming home as early as we thought that maybe he will be coming home on Saturday or Sunday because of his engagement where ever he was. I asked him to tell me where he was but he said i shouldn’t worry about it that he will explain everything to me once his back and that was on a Wednesday.

From Wednesday to Saturday, it was just me, Ezekiel and esther downstairs, the funniest thing was that Esther didn’t even go to her room again, she was sleeping and staying in Ezekiel’s room. They will go out in Ezekiel’s car, come back later in the day, put on generator anytime there was no power supply and enjoy themselves. In fact they use to on generator over night some times.

On Saturday, i told Mr Bolaji, the owner of the coaching centre that i wont be coming again since i will be resuming school and i will be engaged in so many activities but rather than agree with me, he pleaded with me that i should try and manage schooling and the teaching class together. He said he will adjust my class to suit my school time table so that their wont be disturbance and even if there is a clash he can always reschedule his own class for my sake. He even said he was ready to increase my salary to N5,000.

I seek the advice of Ismaeel when he came back and he advised me that i should take the offer, in his word 2is it not even better than the free tutorial i used to organized for my course mate. This is a new means of income and with this we can forget about home totally because i believe 5k is enough for our upkeep. I tried to find out about where he went to but he didn’t even give me any concrete answer so i decided to shelve it over with the thought that it was his personal runs or something which he didn’t want me to know about that he went for.
First semester 200level resumed fully and it was not different from the way i used my past session but this time around i had to add my coaching class to it. My course mates never stop demanding for tutorials from me, my MSSN contribution was also there as well as my coaching class. In fact it was as if i was a full working class as i do come home around 7pm or 8pm every night.
Ismaeel noticed the change of attitude from Ezekiel to me as time goes on, it was a forceful friendship of sought, he always want to talk to me same as Esther. Since i started talking to them, i was also forced to be coming out some night any time am free. If everybody in the hostel was outside gisting and i was not there, Ezekiel will make sure he come and drag me out even though i don’t contribute much to their discussion.
