i woke up from my sleep i look around and i saw that am in celestina’s
house, not just house but her bedroom, i look around, nobody inside
the room just me and light shinning from a white globe, i tried to get
up but i cant, it seems like i have pains in my shoulder, i check my
arm and i saw big plaster, another on my head, waoh wetin happen wey
them wan turn me to dead person na.
I try again to get up but i cant, the pain is too much so i just relax
in the big bed, i think about what happen, i remember tina and i
started sheding tears, so my loving tina is dead, i cant believe it, i
will make sure i revenge you tina, you thought me everything i need to
know in this word and you dont deserve to die just like that, i must
take revenger for you, but how do i go about it? Am just a kid of 16
going to 17, well with the help of edna and her gang we can revenge.
I was still thinking deep when one skinning girl walk in, i remember
her at once because i’ve seen her before outside the house guarding
the gate.
Girl: oh you are awake, thank God.
Me: i want to go home please.
She sat beside me in the bed.
Girl: no you cant go home now until everything is calm.
Me: i need to see my mum.
Girl: if you dont stay here and decided to go home, they will track
you there and even kill your mother.
I think about and i think shes right, but i need to tell her something
cus i believe she will be dam worried now.
Me: but i still need to tell her something.
Girl: what will you tell her, that you are kidnap?
Me: no, she will faint.
Girl: good, so what will you tell her?
I think about it, the only thing that can save me is church,.
Me: i will tell her we did all night service in church thats why i
didnt come house.
Girl: good lier but i still cant let you go.

She gave me her phone and i dial my mummy’s number.
Mum: hello.
Me: good morning ma.
Mum: ozes, where are you.
Me: am in church, we did all night and we are still arranging some things.

I gave her phone back to her.
Girl: you know how to lie.
I was still angry so i just turn my back on her and sleep sideways,
starring at the ground, i saw one ant on the floor holding something
on its mouth, the ant run to were another small one is and start
feeding the small one, i remember how me and tina use to feed each
other and how we were dragging food that time, i started shedding
tears again.
Girl: you should forget about her, shes gone and instead of you to
continue crying for her, you should think of a way to revenge.
That word revenge caught my attention so i turn and face her, still
feeling the pain in my body.
Me: i want revenge but i dont know how, i said amidst crying.
Edna walk in and the slin girl stood up immediately, e be like say na
she come be oga.
Edna: so hes up and you didnt bother to call me?
Girl: am sorry, i thought you wont be back soon.
Edna: leave us alone.
The girl walk out with her small, flat yash, edna face me, she sat at
the edge of the bed and use her right hand to touch my arms.
Edna: am very sorry dear.
I didnt say anything i just relax gazing at the cupboard in my front.
Edna: i know how it feel to lose the one you love and i can assure you
that we wont rest until we revenge.
When she mention the word revenge, i blink.
Me: i want revenge.
Edna: oh dear i know, but my job is to make sure nothing happen to you
at least thats the last wish tina ask from us before leaving, she
sacrifice herself for you.
Me: i still dont understand, how can she be dead?
I started crying again.
Edna: when she heard your voice on the phone, she was shocked, she
just hurry out without carrying her charm to protect her against
bullet.
Me: and you didnt call her back.
Edna: i call her but she was so much in a hurry that she ignore my
calls am sorry, you have to leave this state and go to where you will
be save, this place is too hot for now.
Me: but they got her already, why are they still looking for me?
Edna: probably because you are now the commander.
Me: me? But am a guy.
Edna: yes am the leader but you are the commander,
Me: hmmmm, i dont know anything about cultist and i dont want to be
part, i just want revenge thats all.
Edna: i know you dont want, but its our duty to protect you, so
tommorrow am taking you to abuja.
Me: i dont have anybody there and my mum wont approve it.
Edna: you dont need to tell her, just tell her you are in auchi,
Me: she will call my brother to confirm.
Edna: so which state do u prefer?
