Life Of Ami - Season 1 - Episode 8

In the kitchen, Ami asks Shruti why the insurance company lied about Harsh. Shruti says they have appointed a lawyer and they will fight. She then asks Ami to concentrate on her studies now as if she fails maths exam again, then she will have to repeat 9th standard. She also tells Ami that Sanjay will teach her now and asks her to go to his office from tomorrow. Ami laughs. Shruti says he does maths all day so he can teach her. Ami says, but not better than her father. Next morning, Ami comes to Sanjay’s office. She is about to enter Sanjay’s cabin, but stops and hears Sanjay’s conversation with a lawyer.

Sanjay tells the lawyer that the insurance company is lying. They made reports based on information that they got from Harsh’s colleagues, and as Harsh’s colleagues were doing wrong stuff, Harsh was usually against them and they didn’t get along well. Ami realizes that Shruti works at the same place as Harsh and decides to tell this to Shruti. Ami is standing outside Sanjay's office and listening quietly to what Sanjay is talking to the lawyer, she hears that he is talking about the insurance company and her fathers death. Then she listens and closes the office door and goes running. Sanjay sees that someone had come and sees that someone is running. Then he tells the lawyer to go and he will tell everything afterwards.

Then Ami goes running to the lift. The receptionist asks her if she didn’t find Sanjay's office room. Then Ami tells her that she found it but forgot something and goes away. Then Sanjay comes ther and asks the receptionist that who was running from there. Then she tells him that Ami as she had come to his office but went back because she had forgotten something. At the hospital, Shruti is standing near a patient who is very critical. The administrator tells her to go in her cabin because patients are waiting there for her.

Then she tells him that this patient is very critical and should be taken first to doctor Yadav and that she is finding him. The administrator tells her that she need not be tensed and has to take his orders and do her work according to the rules. She tells that she will first take that patient because it is a child and will then go. Ami enters the hospital and sees all this. The administrator gets angry when doctor Yadav comes and Shruti tells him about the patient and he takes the patient and goes from there. Then the administrator talks rudely to Shruti and tells her that she should follow his orders and work only if she implies to the rules of the hospital.

Then she tells him that a patient was dying and she has seen her own husband in front of her dying so she had to do this. Then he tells her that he has not come there to listen to her tragedy and will allow his staff only to work if they follow his orders. Then he insults her husband and her and Ami gets angry and then goes there and shouts at the administrator for talking all this. Then the administrator tells her that she must be Shruti's daughter and tells her that she has totally gone her father. Ami gets angry and throws medicine on his face and goes away from there. He then gets angry and tells that Shruti is suspended from that hospital and tells her that he will also fire her after making an enquiry on her. The nurse and one patients father tells the administrator that he can't do this as because of her that child who was critical was saved or else he would have died. Then the administrator tells them that they can't argue with him and then sends Shruti away.

At home, Sanjay is asking Daadi if Ami come there? They say no and then he tells that Ami had come to his offie and then she suddenly went away. Then he thinks of calling Shruti when Ami enters the house and tells them that Shruti's boss is very bad and she is very angry at him and that she wants to hit him and throw everything on him and also medicines. Then Sanjay asks her what happened and she tells him the whole incident. Then Shruti comes home and is standing at the door. Then Ami tells him that the insurance company is also not giving money because they think that her dad did suicide and it was not an accident. On listening to this, Daadi gets shocked and starts crying and goes and asks Shruti if what Ami is saying is right or not.

Shruti tells her that what Ami said is right but the insurance company told her that Harsh had suicide. Daadi gets very shocked and starts crying. Shruti goes to console her. Khushboo then asks Sanjay that suicide means when a person hates himself or he kiss himself and asks that this is only the right meaning isn’t it? Then Shruti takes Khushboo and tells her that her father was very strong and he had not suicide and the insurance company are lying. Then Sanjay goes in to bring water for Daadi.

Then Ami goes to console Daadi but she tells her to stay away from her. Then Shruti tells her that why is she shouting at Ami. Daadi tells her that it is her mistake that she believed her and tells her that she told Ami everything but did not tell her anything. Then Daadi goes away in her room. Sanjay comes out with water. Shruti tells Sanjay to go now and she will call him afterwards. Sanjay leaves.

Daadi is sitting in her room and is looking at Harsh’s photo and crying. Shruti goes there and tells her that her son did not suicide but he died in an accident. She tells her that they will prove the insurance company wrong and will fight for their money. Then Ami comes there and tells that there is a lizard on her saree. She gets scared then tells that she knows her granddaughter very well and they smile.

Sanjay is sitting in his office and is talking on the phone with his friend who is a lawyer. He tells him that he will give him all the details of the case and whatever the cost maybe will be given by him because he does not want Shruti to take more burden in this bad crisis. Then Ashish (the lawyer) tells him that he cares so much for Shruti and he also likes her. Then he tells him that it is nice that he is not married or else he would be thrown out of the house.

Then they laugh and Ashish tells that he will tell a Shayri on this thing and he tells and after telling he tells that he will tell another but Sanjay tells that his mom has come and he will call him later. His mom asks him that there is a function and he has to come. Then sanjay tells that he may come and his mom tells him that he always makes reasons to not come and so atleast she has to go and he says okay and his mom leaves. Meanwhile, Ami tells Shruti that if she knew that her boss is so rude then she would have thrown a whole tray of medicines on his face and tells her that now that she has done this he will never shout and trouble her. Shruti says sadly remembering that she is suspended and says that yes he will never trouble her.

Ami then is looking at her text books and very anxiously. Her sister Khushboo asks her that why is she so scared and tells her that it's her first day of school and asks her why she is so scared. She tells her that she does not like maths and if she fails this year in the exam then she will surely stay in the 9th standard. Khushboo tells that she will fail and then go in 9th standard and then back in 8th standard. Ami goes there and tickles her and tells her that she will not go in 8th standard. Then Shruti comes in and tells them to sleep because it's school tomorrow. She tells Ami that if she will work hard then she will pass in all her exams.

Then Ami tells her mom that she will work hard and pass this time. Then Shruti, Ami and Khushboo say a poem related to fear and then they sleep. The next day, Ami and Khushboo are in the school as it is their first day. They both are talking about studies and that Ami will fail. Khushboo tells Ami that if she does not pass in the maths exam this time then she will stay back in the 9th standard and then in the 8th then in the 7th and if necessary then even in the 6th standard.

Ami gets scared listening to this and she sees her future in her mind that she has become very old almost the age of a grandmother and she is still in the 9th standard then she gets scared and then enters her class. Then she sees all the hosh posh in the class and sees that everyone is playing and throwing paper balls at each other. She does not know anyone in the class and then she sees a girl whom she knows. She goes to her who's name is Sishwariya. She then goes to sit near her but a girl comes there and sits and Ami goes behind to sit.

Aishwariya gives a “disgusting” expression on her face when Ami leaves. When Ami goes behind, a group of friends tells her that she can sit with them as they are all back benchers. They all introduce themselves and Ami sits there. Then one boy tells her that she did nice that she did not sit with Aishwariya because that girl has a special treatment in class as the teacher always does partiality with her and the other students. Then Aishwariya goes and keeps a rose at the desk of the teacher and Ami is told by her new friends to keep a box on the table which they give her.

Then she goes and keeps the box on the table. The class teacher enters the class. Then she takes the rose and thanks Aishwariya. Then she takes the box and opens it and a joker comes out of it which almost hits her face. She gets angry and asks who has done it then Aishwariya tells that Ami has done it and Ami gets up. Then her friends also get up and tell that even they have done it and they all are taken to the principal. The principal shouts at them and then tells Ami that she has done this bad and now she will give her retest of maths in a week which was to be held in 2 months. She gets scared and tells him not to do this and they make a settlement in each other and finish the topic.

Then the principal calls Shruti who is giving an interview in a travel agency for work. She cuts the phone but she is called back again and is told about Ami’s misbehavior and she gets sad and keeps the phone. The travel agency boss tells her that they can't give her the work because thay can't allow people to take phone calls while they are doing their job. Shruti goes and her mother calls her. She takes the phone and her mom asks her where she is. She tells that she is in the hospital. Her mom tells her that she is also in the hospital and she can't see her anywhere. Shruti starts crying and her mom tells her to come to her house and tells her everything.

Ami goes to Sanjay's office and tells him about the maths exam in a week and who will teach her. He tells her that maths is very easy and he will teach her. Then she asks him that does he know to teach, he tells that he knows better than anyone and he will teach her all the 10 chapters in a week. Then he starts teaching her with formulae’s. He tells her the first formulae and tells her to learn it. She starts learning it and Sanjay gets a call. His mom is there and she tells him that she has bought a personal assistant who is Bhavna and he tells her that he is teaching and he keeps the phone down.

His mom then tells Bhavna that she has to take Sanjay's whole attention on her. She tells okay. In the office, Ami says she can't learn it because she could only learn it with her dads help. She tells him that how he had made a song on the formulas and made her learn it. Sanjay tells her that he can't make a song on it and teach her as it has to be understood. She tells that she can't do it, Sanjay tells her that she has to because it has to be understood. She then tells him that she does not want to learn from him and she tells him that he can never be like her dad and she goes away from there crying.
