'Twist of Fate' Season 1 Episode 262 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 05 September 2017

The family is gathered downstairs watching as Tanu accuses Pragya of spending time with Champak in Abhi's room.

She says she's thankful to the person who recorded the video and sent to them.
Mitali says she wonders of the video had also been sent to outsiders.
Tanu tells Akash to connect the phone to the TV so they can see the video on a larger screen.
Akash ignores her.

She tells Mitali to do it.
Mitali connects it.
Grandmother asks Tanu why she's creating a scene.
Tanu asks for how long they would keep tolerating what Pragya is doing.
She asks Champak what happened.
He says it's obvious what happened.

Purab grabs him by the collar and asks how he was able to set Pragya up.
Champak says he and Pragya are in love.
Tanu says she would let the public know that Pragya is having an affair.
Pragya is crying.

Purab and Akash go into Abhi's room and Purab picks a phone from the top of the chair.
Akash asks what's going on.
Purab says they have evidence to counter Tanu's video and it was Grandmother's plan.
Tanu continues to taunt Pragya.

Purab and Akash return.
Purab tells Tanu that the video she has is just a joke.
He connects his own phone to the TV and they see Pragya beating Champak with a stick.
Everyone is shocked.
Purab says Champak drugged Pragya and took advantage of the situation.

Tanu says the video Purab played is not the original.
Purab says she just admitted to having the original.
Abhi says he didn't react all along because he didn't believe Tanu's video as he knows Pragya would never do such a thing and he needs no explanation from his wife.

He gives Champak a slap and asks how he dared to go into his bedroom and try to take advantage of his wife.
He starts beating him up.
Purab tells Abhi that Champak didn't act alone.
Abhi says it's true.
Tanu and Nikhil swallow hard.
Tanu reminds Abhi that Pragya already
admitted to having an affair with Champak so maybe, she planned with him to spike her drink.

Abhi tells Tanu to stop talking and let only Pragya speak.
Pragya says the only reason she said she was dating Champak was that she wanted to get back at Abhi for not standing by her when Tanu was making the false accusations and also to make him know how she feels everyday she sees him with Tanu.

Abhi is ashamed of himself.
Purab goes to console Pragya.
Grandmother tells Abhi that he and Pragya love each other very much and feel jealous over one another.
Abhi goes to Pragya and says if he had said something the last time at the party, all this wouldn't be happening.

He apologises to her then tellsHe tells the family members that he hopes their doubts have been cleared.
He tells them not to question Pragya's character again.
He takes Champak upstairs and dangles him over the balcony, telling him to say the truth.
Champak says he's not a teacher but an actor and he was paid to lie against Pragya.

Purab begs Abhi to bring him down because he didn't act alone.
Abhi asks who paid him.
They bring Champak downstairs and Abhi asks who paid him.
Champak refuses to speak.
Abhi tells Purab to call the police commissioner.
Nikhil signals to Champak not to speak otherwise he would get killed.

Champak pushes Abhi out of the way and runs out of the house.
They chase him.
Nikhil catches up with him and gives him a stick to hit him with so that Abhi wouldn't suspect anything.
Champak hits him with the stick and runs off.
Tanu deliberately falls down on her stomach so everyone rushes to her aid instead of chasing after Champak.

She is rushed to the hospital.
Pragya comes to see the gynaecologist attending to Tanu and she discovers it's her long lost friend, Sheila.
They catch up on old times and Sheila asks how she is connected to Tanu.
Pragya tells her everything about the baby and Tanu working with Nikhil.

Sheila asks why she doesn't just tell Abhi everything.
Abhi asks a nurse if she has seen his wife.
She tells him that Pragya is in doctor Sheila's office.
Pragya asks Sheila how she can prove Tanu is carrying Nikhil's baby.
Dr. Sheila says she can carry out a DNA test on the baby and she will take the sample while Tanu is asleep.

Pragya says she doesn't want her to take a big risk.
Sheila says Pragya has done a lot for her so she will gladly help and in two days, Pragya can come for the result of the DNA test.
Pragya thanks her.
She turns to see Abhi at the door.
He asks what Pragya was thanking the doctor for.

Pragya says she was thanking her for taking care of Tanu.
He gives her a cup of tea and she thanks him.
Sheila checks on Tanu.
Tanu is sleeping.
Sheila tells the nurse to prepare Tanu for an amniocentesis.
Pragya and Abhi return to the hospital.
Abhi says he wants to check on Tanu.

Pragya knows Sheila is with Tanu conducting the amniocentesis.
She stops him but he says he still has to go.
Pragya holds her eye and cries out.
He asks what's wrong.
Sheila comes to meet them and says everything is fine and Tanu can go home.
Back at home, Abhi asks Purab why Nikhil is always around Tanu and always in the house when Champak was around.

Purab says he may be right because Nikhil keeps coming around on the pretext that he wants Abhi to sign a bogus contract.
Abhi tells Purab to keep an eye on him and find out what his motive is.
Pragya comes to see Sheila at home.
Sheila introduces her daughter to Pragya and tells her she's Abhi the rockstar's wife.

When the little girl leaves the room, Pragya thanks Sheila for the DNA test.
Sheila says they have to get samples from Abhi and Nikhil too to match with the baby's so they know who the father is.
Pragya says she will get them by tomorrow.
Pragya is at home.

Purab tells her that Abhi is getting suspicious of Nikhil.
Pragya says it's good news and it means any evidence they get will make Abhi believe them.
He asks what the next step will be.

Pragya tells him about Sheila and the DNA test.
Purab says he can get a DNA sample from Nikhil.
As Purab leaves the room, he runs into Tanu.
He asks where her boyfriend Nikhil is.
She asks what's wrong.
Purab says he's ecstatic today.

Pragya sees them and tells Purab to stop bothering her.
When then leave, Tanu wonders what Purab was trying to say that Pragya prevented him from staying.
Pragya is ready for bed.
Abhi asks if she's suspicious of Nikhil as the person who paid Champak.

Pragya asks why.
Abhi says Nikhil has been around all through Champak's stay and he was the one who brought the pictures of Pragya and Champak together.

Pragya says they don't have any evidence.
Abhi says he can get evidence by signing the contract Nikhil brought.
Pragya says there are many loopholes in it.
Abhi says he will get Purab to put a clause in the contract stating he's free to pull out if he's no longer happy.

He says with the contract Nikhil will keep coming around and they can investigate him further.
Next day, Nikhil is in Abhi's office with Abhi and Purab.
Abhi signs the contract and Nikhil says he feels like celebrating as Abhi just signed the contract and it's also his birthday.

Purab and Abhi wish him a happy birthday.
When Nikhil leaves, Purab suggests to Abhi that they have a party for Nikhil at home so that they can monitor him closely.
